I mean I'll agree that it is not as addictive as nicotine and that many have this belief that marijuana is not addictive physically at all. It is a widespread belief, even a few researchers say this (and at least one attorney general). But it's not true at all. Marijuana clearly has a physical effect that gets certain people to smoke it repeatedly out of fear of withdrawal. The loudest people against that position typically are the stoners themselves.

You mean a psychological effect?

Yes I was wrong to say there are no physical symptoms of withdrawal. But I can't find any research showing that marijuana can be physically/chemically addictive.

It changes your brain. Like any other drug addiction when you do it more often, seek out higher dosages, other drugs.

People can become addicted to acquiring drugs, handling them, packing, grinding, smoking.

I gotta say, its probably the weirdest thing I am ever going to experience. I never saw a professional about it because I never had seizures growing up, not prone to them or anything. I just attributed it to being really dehydrated before smoking, walking to class, sitting through class and continuing to be dehydrated. The last thing I remember before going unconscious was hearing my water bottle hit the ground after I dropped it. I awoke and it felt like all of the blood in my body rushed to my head, I couldnt move, move my eyes, see very well or hear very well. I was fixed in position, while conscious for probably 20 seconds? I dont know how long I was out for but I dont think it was very long because the student EMT girl was about five feet from me when I came to

How do you know it's an absence seizure if you were unconscious? I'm not saying that condescendingly I'm asking genuinely. Is it similar to what you experienced before you went unconscious?

After I went unconscious. I came to and experienced all of that. Also after smoking weed

Here's what happened reposted to be TOS friendly:

Last night I went to a Halloween party and I had two alcoholic beverages and did an illegal activity with a substance that is medically legal here but federally illegal. It was unlikely to be laced because it is from a legal dispensary. No one else had any problems. I did leave my drink unattended at one point in the night for a couple a minutes.

One the way home I was sitting cross legged in the car. I looked up at a road sign on the highway and suddenly it felt like car dropped out from underneath me. My vision felt like it got locked in front of me and I only had that sight and my periferal. I could not move my body anymore or feel it anymore. I began to breathe very fast. My boyfriend asked me what was wrong. I told him I thought the weed may have been laced with something in a stressed voice. He said it was okay we were almost home. I started to feel like I was melting. I told him so. I felt a feeling of extreme dread. I told him I thought I was hallucinating.

Ernie popped up on the center console. I told Mando I wanted to feel like I was still attached to reality so I didn't lose myself. I said I could hear his voice so I knew I was safe and I could see Ernie so I knew I was safe. I was repeating it but I couldn't feel my lips moving at all. I felt a ton of drool coming from the corner of the left side of my mouth. I asked him if I was drooling. He said he couldn't tell. I told him I couldn't feel my lips moving. I started to dart my eyes back and forth but my field of vision wasn't moving at all. I asked him if my eyes were moving. He said they were. He told me to put my hands down but I told him I didn't put them up and I couldn't see that they were up.

I asked him if I was reading the street name correctly so I could continue to place myself in reality. He said it was correct. I told him I felt like Ernie's body was melting in to me. I told him that everything was getting really heavy and I felt like my vision was blacking out and I needed to go to the hospital immediately. I told him I felt like I was having a serious medical emergency and i kept repeating it over and over again. He said he wanted to drop Ernie off first because we live right down the street from the hospital. I started crying and told him to please just take Ernie with us. Once we got to our street and there were literally no lights and it was dark he ran Ernie into the house and I immediately snapped back into reality and snapped back to normal and I felt like nothing happened.

This happened over the course of like 8-10 minutes. I have no idea what it was. I can remember everything that happened and it was like a total brain body disconnect.

Yooooo this is an absence seizure. Except I went unconscious then awoke and was fixed in position, hard to see, hear, and I got really warm. I was fine about five minutes later.

(Mine also happened about 45 minutes after smoking weed. The seizure occurred in my Anatomy II class in college -_-)

Weed isn't even physically addictive

Not at all true.

You don't suffer physical withdrawal symptoms when you go without weed. It's a mental addiction.

Some people do suffer withdrawal
