I'm going to wager most posters here won't look at that. Even if it pretty definitively shows she didn't steal a picture of a pie to lie.

Idk if she stole a pic or not, but that article does not address anything relevant to the discussion. Nobody ITT is accusing her of stealing a PBS photo.

It addresses that she's the first occurrence of the photo... Which is kind of step 1.) of did they steal the picture or not.

So far the argument is it can't be hers because she can't have a white kitchen?

I don't agree with that, but I do love it. I don't know how they managed to make it so fun and charming when they basically gutted every aspect of the game, but I've always had a special place in my heart for SNES version of SimCity

It was still simple enough to be easy to get into and complex enough to be challenging. But I'm sure some part of nostalgia influences my opinion

I like 2k, it added more layers but it takes more effort. Sim city 4 is the best pure sim, but it's too detailed for my liking. While most modern sims are just traffic simulators.

It's a simple concept. You show you have the intellectual capacity to address anything I've posted. Or you continue to stick your fingers in your ears and scream LALALALA.

I've made my points and every time you post and continue to ignore them you only prove how much of a child you are. I couldn't give less of a fuck what anyone thinks of me. Unlike you I'm not an ignorant child who values feelings over logic and reasoning. Nor do I need the validation of anyone else to make me feel better when I'm wrong. You shut down and start to imagine fictional arguments that allow you to stay in your echo chamber since you lack the understanding to actually debate your stance.

Feel free to keep holding your breath waiting for me to apologize because you decided to post bullshit instead of addressing anything that was actually written.

You're the one who read me explicitly stating twice that 100% aren't going to vote one way. If you get just 2% in those metropolitan areas you just swayed gained 1 million votes and took 1 million from your opponent. That's the equivalent to swaying 30% of Iowa, which is unreasonable to think you're going to do. So where do you think that politicians are going to focus their attention. Where that 5-10% undecided or close to the fences can be the deciding difference. Or going to anywhere in the Midwest that's not Chicago and maybe st Louis.

But you know that which is why you choose to not have an actual discussion and just ignore everything laid out in front of you.

You won't find 4 cities that make up 50% of the population. Also that assumes that everyone in a city votes for a single candidate which is statistically impossible. You will not win the election in a popular vote system without mass appeal.

New York metro 19 million, LA metro 13, Chicago 9, Dallas 6.

That's 48 million in 4 cities. Those cities will get 90% of all attention in elections.

Trump didn't win 100% of Wisconsin despite Hillary never stepping a foot in. It's not about having the 60 odd million that would have won the popular vote in 2016. It's about swaying that 48 million as much to your side as possible to have the decided advantage. Whereas if you take states for granted now, they will flip and we end up with a guy best known for exploiting bankruptcy law in his favor and a reality TV show

Only if you have the mindset of a moron. Trump won several states that have been democratic for the last 20-30 years. Hillary chose to ignore Wisconsin and suffered for it.

Tmaster148 posted...

Arguing that a popular vote system for the presidential election would be unfair to other states ignores the basis premise that a popular vote system isn't using a state's electoral vote count to decide the president.

It's not about being "unfair to states" it's about being unfair to the majority of the country. If all you need to do is appeal to 4 cities, those cities are going to get an extremely disproportionate amount of political capital. Take a look at what happens anytime that there is an Olympic, world cup, superbowl host city bidding war.

And those politicians will love to exploit the simple minded like sktgamer_13dude who think that their vote doesn't matter. The already low voter turnout will go even lower

I mean, you can accept the concept of the electoral college while also thinking it should be improved

I'd fully support redistribution to bring it closer to the population distribution. Since I'm pretty sure that formula was made in the 1920s. But the fundamental idea that a candidate needs broad appeal is correct.

Though if I'm fixing the election process the first thing I'm doing is eliminate first pass the post voting to create viability for more parties. 2 parties is contributing to the problems of the country as compromise has become a sign of weakness. And both parties are more than happy to say why it's all the other guys fault rather than ever focus on what makes them right and what realistically they can do to enact their vision.

Something like the president should be voted based on population. If more people want x, x should be the winner not some stupid system that over rewards low population states while penalizing high population states.

And good thing that the constitution prevents it so that candidates are required to appeal to more than 4 metropolitan areas. I'm glad that the founders are much smarter than you'll ever be.

California is the largest electoral, they are in no way shape or firm ignored or punished like 98% of the country would be under your terrible idea. The fact that Hillary was such a horrific candidate that couldn't be more appealing than a moron that couldn't even run a casino profitability is a failure of the democratic party not the system.
