I mean this is the gist of it. I'm not sure what exactly the word for what you have an issue with is in this incident-- I do admit "tone" probably isn't the right thing, but it falls under "etc" somewhere.

I'm assuming you took "the hell" to mean way more than it does. Like when someone says "I'm going to play the hell of this game" it doesn't literally mean like... they're going to be playing it until their eyes bleed. It's more like, a light hearted enthusiasm more than anything.

Good rule of thumb in text is start with what a relatively well adjusted normal person would mean as the intended meaning and build from there, only assuming ridiculousness if the text is very clear about that.

could just be a language barrier thing really, i guess i took for the "the hell" part to mean something stronger than it did.

as far as youtube movie critics go my tastes are probably the most similar to grace randolph's, but she literally called wonder woman one of the 3 best movies in history. i'm skeptical about it being THAT good.

batman begins is definitely the #1 superhero movie of all time.

the dark knight is overrated, though. i'd put plenty of other superhero movies on its level - first class, days of future past, a number of the MCU movies. great movie, but not a "better than everything else" movie.

There's nothing wrong with pointing out that a beautiful woman is more beautiful than an average-looking woman. That's not "putting them to shame." Some people weren't born as beautiful as others. It's a fact of life, not a "hate crime," or whatever you want to spin it as.
