- guilty of knowing what they were getting into at the time, were aiming to further their careers and only now lodging complaints as the bandwagon picks up speed.
Not saying their aren't definitely some very genuine cases out there, but I doubt 100% of the complainants are exactly legit.
I also dislike the whole naming the so called perpetrators if the alleged victims can hide behind anonymity. It often becomes a trial by media, and if proven false - the so called victim usually gets away scot free, having caused untold distress and upheaval to the accused parties.
False sexual assault claimants should serve the entire sentence that the offense merited.

As a species, we are incredibly impactful on the world we live in.
Some examples such as deforestation and natural land eradication such as the timber and palm oil industry. Over fishing is another, creating shortages in breeding stock and ecosystem issues. Human encroachment in areas with highly diverse natural habitats.
And really, the impact that energy intensive mass production of goods -and the required mass transit of goods worldwide is massive.
It's often producing goods which aren't necessarily built to last. To meet made up, well-marketed consumer needs on a mass scale. These often end up poorly recycled, if at all.

Repeat these above long enough - like we most certainly will due to how the current economic models operate. And -
Throw in ever increasing, vast numbers of extra humans (mass consumers basically) along with advances to medicine and lifelongevity and it's a surefire recipe to make this planet one hell of a fucked up mess...

It will take a united change to our approach and view of this world and everything on it.
Call it a universally shared acknowledgement if you like, that if we live and procreate responsibly and consider the overall impact and non monetary cost of things, we would stand to bequeath a far better world to future generations. And importantly, fulfill a quasi custodian role to all life on this planet. It's all we got guys. That's the reality.

Imo, population growth is one the main drivers for a large number of modern day issues.
Such as waste, pollution, housing shortages, human encroachment into natural habitats etc.

A somewhat overall steady reduction in human numbers globally, would be great. Especially in areas largely unsuited for a burgeoning population.
