A $250 55-inch 4k TV? Someone tell me why it's a bad purchase. Sounds way too good to be true.

Because its a trash Westinghouse I wouldn't even put in my bathroom. Colors are going to be wildly inaccurate, it's going to have an uneven backlight, tons of vignetting/banding and shit motion.

Go into a store and find me a nice 1080p TV that isn't considered budget or very entry level. No company makes them anymore except for boutique retailers like Sunbrite for outdoors. The J6200 is probably the nicest one still sold, but its a 2015 set and priced almost identically to where a good 4k TV starts.

In no realm does buying a 1080p set make sense unless you are spending less than $500 which puts you at budget/entry level.

You will go bankrupt immediately. The only reason Gamestop stays afloat is because of their used game sales, they get enough of them to offset the cost of running their shop and they've been doing it a long time so they get a steady influx of used games to sell at markup. They make approximately $4-6 on every new $60 title they sell if even that.

You need to factor in renting a space, electricity, a point of sale system, employee labor. How do you even plan on starting? Where are you getting merchandise to sell and how are you going to pay your bills short term while you spend well over a year building a book of business.

Starting a local electronics store is general is a fucking stupid idea. You will never compete with larger stores who have vendor relationships.
