I think it's pretty obvious that female empowerment (often at the expense of male stupidity/bravado) seems to be a theme in the new trilogy. More so in this movie than TFA.

Doesn't mean it's worth being outraged over. But it's kinda transparent.

I haven't been a regular viewer for years and years. I used to love SNL when I was younger. I'd watch every rerun I could find. I just think it's not my style of comedy anymore.

Even the sketches that go viral and everyone says "You have to see this one!" don't do anything for me anymore. Like David Pumpkin, which I thought was incredibly stupid and didn't make me laugh once.

Then we get to their hamfisted political views and yeah... no thank you. Clinton singing Hallelujah after the election was an embarrassment. Pretty much closed the door on me ever watching it again.

I have faith in Blackpink. I think the group has the potential to do really well. As a fan, I'm not sure why they haven't really had the kinda push they deserve. plus it pisses me off what they did to their picture at MAMA.

I always assumed Sheik in the original was supposed to be an actual man that Zelda transformed into using magic, as opposed to her just cross-dressing. I read that in the Japanese version they are referred to as a man.

I don't think the janitor character is supposed to even be a corn pop. It's supposed to look different. He/she/it has a nose and circle eyes, which the pops don't. It seems purposefully different.

I'm not sure why they added the character though.
