I was being chased by some like, weird monstrous shadowy thing and I was running, eventually I found my way into a house, and then I ran in the bathroom and it followed me in there. I was like, well I can't run any more so I might as well confront it and ask this thing what exactly it wants and why it's chasing me. It then somehow turns into a fat girl thats on the toilet seat (with the lid closed) and I just proceed to have sex with her.

Very bizarre

Oh, I think I see it. You're saying that I shouldn't be in a relationship if I'm hoping someone in a relationship would cheat, because my mindset is inherently unethical/counterproductive to maintaining a relationship.

Idk if I'm necessarily looking for a relationship though. Hook up would be fine.

This coworkers been around for bits and pieces and she's really cool. I had to do a whole shift with her today, and the more I get to know her, the cooler she gets.

She's my type in terms of looks and fashion/style. She likes all the same nerdy stuff I do, she's skilled at art and appreciates music (I'm vice versa), and she's incredibly laid back like I am so our shift was amazingly chill.

Ugh, just fucking sucks.

But I wanna ween myself off. I feel like moderating and having a consistent amount is better than binging randomly to counteract being sober randomly. That way it goes from "oh shit I'm drinking tonight, might as well go ham cause who knows next time I'll drink (which usually ends up being tomorrow or the day after)", to "okay I had my one drink for the day that I planned".

Drinking at home saves money compared to going out and drinking.

It just makes economical sense.

Drinking at home gives you so much more accessibility which can also be a bad thing if you're dumb about it like me. When I go out to a bar to drink, I'm way more likely to drink less because I know I'm paying way more for it. Also, being at home gives you nothing to ping off of. When you go out, you generally wanna be near the same level as everyone else.

Drinking at some sports bar after work with some coworkers, I'm just gonna have like 1-3 beers, because so are they, and I also have obligation to sober up to drive home. Drinking at home with a 30 rack just chilling, I'm gonna have like 5-8 because I have nobody to keep in check with and no obligation to do anything.

new technologies.

That's not a justification for stupid plot devices lol. Imagine a futuristic show about cars where making 3 left turns in a row makes the car self detonate. That's fucking stupid to include in a car. I don't care how far into the future it is. The fact of the matter is that beyond the fictional world, I'm the audience, therefore this future tech has to have a modicum of relatability to how we know things work, and absolutely no auto manufacturer would include something as idiotic as that, which makes the whole premise worthless and dramatic just for the sake of it.

The magic in Harry Potter has more design logic than some of the tech in Black Mirror. It has nothing to do with the fact that it's new or fictional technology. It's just not believable and there isn't enough surrounding it where the suspension of disbelief can be kept. Star Trek has a ton of future tech and that's fine. Star Wars has a shit ton of holes in their future tech and even that's okay because the base of it makes sense and there's other stuff happening. Black Mirror just has unrealistic ways of explaining tech, and most of all, the whole point of the show is how it mirrors our society. The point is that it's not wild. The point is that it's trying to be grounded. But it's the complete opposite.

What an awful opinion

Waldo moment was cool because of, hey drawing in attention and feeding off of it is literally how politics is now and also when a group of people try to represent a single person's vision, they usually fuck it up and Flanderize it.

National Anthem wasn't bad. I put it at the top of Entertaining because it was entertaining. I get that the whole point of the premise was to hook the viewer into the series. But I felt like the crazy hook sorta overstayed its welcome and didn't need to last the entire hour. Also, the stakes were so drastic that fucking the pig wasn't even an interesting concept because clearly he should just fuck the pig. But the whole time the episode was like "OMG isnt it crazy that he has to fuck a pig? omg. isn't it crazy that he has to fuck a pig?" By the end of it, it's like, yes, I fucking get that he needs to fuck a pig.

It's just like, please, episode. Please have something else to this besides...."omg isnt it crazy that he has to fuck a pig?"

I don't understand how "virtual clone with consciousness is forced into torment for eternity" is not only somehow believable (NO TECH WORKS LIKE THIS), but also continuously entertaining and thought provoking. It's just drastic for the sake of being drastic, not for any sort of message. AND, if you think there IS a message, it's a repeated theme by BM which makes it worse due to sheer oversaturation.

I do think the opening pain doctor bit was kinda neat in a way, but the rest of the episode was stupid.

Dude. I said I'd let them watch ONE LEVEL HIGHER than they are. That means from age 13 onwards, I most likely wouldn't have a problem with rated R. Are you able to read, I literally said "my teenagers can watch R movies" whcih means 13 onwards, which guess what. That age covers highschool. Try reading the posts again and report back with what you find.

Because I'm such a nice piece of ass, I'll break it down for you further.

can watch G: toddlers
can watch PG13: age 5-12
can watch R: age 13+

Tell me the age that highschoolers are in, and let me know where they are on the above list.

I grew up without really anything censored unless my mom was physically in the room with me, but otherwise, I could watch/play pretty much anything.

Now that I'm older, I feel like I'm going to be a little stricter on that than my parents because I'm more aware of ratings and why they are what they are.

I'll probably let them watch one level higher than they are (so my kids can watch PG13, my teenagers can watch R), but I'll probably censor like, horror movies and stuff, because that can actually fuck kids up even if temporarily.

If I know they're watching stuff at a friends house, I'll probably let it slide, but advise them that sometimes ratings are meant to be there because the content is disgusting and meant to mess with you.

It's super expensive so you can complain about how you have no money after you pay for it, it's foreign/exotic so you get to show how multicultured you are, and best of all, it's packaged nicely so that when you upload it on Snapchat/Instagram/Facebook, you look cool as fuck. It's also 'healthy' so you get to show that you have a quirky healthnut side.

I don't think it tastes bad but I think it's taken as a huge novelty.

Idk, it seems like, only slightly more in depth than an episode of Goosebumps or Jimmy Neutron. Usually the premises are kinda cool but they are taken to hyperbolic extremes and come off as really cheesy. Sometimes it's too preachy and like "omg technology has BAD ASPECTS TO IT".

They also run similar themes, like (unjustified) public perception, people being trapped in a virtual world with no way out (wtf kind of inventor would make a leisure device that's so easily fatal and irreversible), etc. And for a show that attempts to be grounded and realistic in its technological implications, they sure make a lot of leaps in how the tech actually works.

I'm not going to say it's a bad show, because it is entertaining. I just don't find it as mind blowing or revolutionary as some people make it out to be.

Exactly. Like, if the other girl had just been slightly friendly, and I tried something, and she didn't want to, then that's totally fine by me. I saw something that could have or couldn't have been real, took a shot at it, turned out to be not real. Sucks, but is still fine.

However, when I see something that definitely looks real, go for it, and it turns out to be not real, that's when I start questioning everything.

Maybe to them they think I've been flirty, but no, I never consciously have. There's a certain kind of comfortable/familiar behavior you can have with anyone (joking, teasing, etc), and then there's another kind of interaction that happens with someone you like, where it'd be weird/off if you acted that way with a guy friend (speaking between two straight guys).

It's fine if they don't want anything more of it, but it's like, why on earth would you do that to me beforehand?

Yeah.

The most significant case of this I can remember is a year ago. My friend invited me to her friend's bday party. I walk in the apartment and I see like 10-12 girls, all hot and dressed up to go out, pregaming in the living room. I was like "oh fuck" and headed straight for the bathroom, not because I had to use it, but just as an isolated room to collect myself.

I head out, get myself situated, and of course grab a drink and pound it. We're all just hanging out and stuff, playing drinking games. The craziest part of the ratio is that girls initiated with me. Normally, it's me that has to start conversations with girls just to show up as a blip on their radar. This time though, I didn't have to do anything, they made it incredibly easy to tease them back. They said stuff like "I'm grabbing another drink, you aren't judging me, are you?" with a devious smile. I'm just sitting there thinking like, wow this attention is awesome.

It turns out that the best way I can get women to come to me is if I'm literally the only guy.
