Had a bit of a rivalry with a guy named Kai Lucis. We kept darting around from one FATE to another trying to get the Gold. Of course he has a Chocobo mount so he gets there first, but I hit a whole lot harder than him.

Question: How do I recruit someone into a Free Company? I'm trying to recruit the guy but I have no idea how to do it

Anyway, 6 Venocht Medal and 22 Yo-Kai Medals... not too bad for a first day. For some reason all the FATEs disappeared though. After I get my last Venocht Medal, I'm continuing the main story, which would have me go to Ul'dah anyway.

Behold Galvanth the Dominator! I wish there were more Mindflayers in FF, they were badass! And on that note Mindflayers > Occurians. This one's mechanic couldn't be ZERG RUSHED, so we have to play by the rules. The rules being that he's invincible while his Imps are still alive, but they're easily taken care of. He also has this AoE Mind Blast thing that has a rather huge range centering from him, but I managed to dodge the first one and when he tried to do a second Blast? Well...

Second dungeon done. I really like the dungeon and boss mechanics so far, it's a lot of fun.

Alright second run went much better since I aggro'd every minion wave to me and left Foulques to fight Kamapuaa alone.

After the fight is over though, Foulques gets smacked away anyway and I had to stand between the two of them... only for Ywain to intervene and send Kamapuaa away by basically saying we suck (HEY), but says I passed anyway. Foulques is in denial, but then Ywain pulls out his spear and Foulques- I **** you not- GASPS and backs away before running away with Ywain's parting YOU SUCK words.

So ****ing delicious

I'm gonna mess around the East and South Shrouds first, complete my Hunting Logs and do some Sidequests, then it's back to the Main Quest

Right when I load the ****ing game I'm smack dab in the middle of Wild Boar territory (who are aggressive) and in the middle of a Treant Fate infestation (who are also aggressive). I never would have made it out if not for a MYSTERIOUS HERO MONK appearing out of nowhere and helped me pick them off one by one. All I can remember from him was he's from a BIN Free Company.

And then THIS bozo showed up. Finally, the first boss from Record Keeper! For some reason. Suffice it to say I failed the mechanic of checking the bubbles and we got SWAMPED by Baleen guards, so we said **** it and rushed Denn the Orcatoothed.




More like DEAD the Orcatoothed. As it turns out, Mononoke was the dead weight because AFK or bad connections.

Man that was fun, and I managed to do the Battle Training as well after (lol too late). The Hall of Novice training really helped.

Meanwhile, before I continue the Main Quest, I decided to continue the Lancer Guild one. After beating 3 of Ywains best, Ywain tasks me and Doucheques of the Mist (who just barged in here acting like a spurned lover) to a race of who can beat the Lord of the Branches first. But we have to present an offering of 10 Bloody Tusks first to summon it.
