The estimated delivery date is the 11th. On the 7th, it "arrived at USPS regional facility" in Phoenix, AZ. And I was like, "Oh, cool. It should be here probably tomorrow, right?"

On the 8th, it was like, "on its way to Apache Junction", and I thought maybe it would arrive at the post office here and be delivered that same day.

But then the 9th came around, and I was like, "...What the fuck? Are they keeping it until the estimated delivery date?" Like, are they thinking, "The estimated delivery date says the 11th, so we're not delivering this until the 11th." What the fuck.

And now today, it says the exact same goddamn thing again, exact same time and everything. I think they're keeping my package until the "estimated" delivery date. All the other stuff was delivered early, why not this one too? >_<

Jumprope was ridiculous bullshit.
The sword-fighting mini-game was ridiculous, too. I remember trying that a dozen times back when the game came out, and I had a theory that the inputs would be the same if you managed to press them quickly enough, since it felt like on repeated attempts, some strings of inputs at the beginning seemed to be the same as previous ones, until I started getting slower at it, that is. Regardless, it's bullshit.
Hippaul's race was bullshit, too.

The main game was fine, but Jesus, every mini-game was nonsense.

On the debate of whether it's "Aeris", or "Aerith, I always supported "Aeris". I know I heard around the web that the Japanese developers had intended on Aeris's name being similar to "Earth", but... I figured, "Aeris" was the name in the original release of FFVII, so that's what I was going to go with. It sounded better, looked better, etc. I was always annoyed at Square's new localization team meddling with her name and changing it to "Aerith"...

Well, today I got the actual Japanese FFVII International, and I was looking through it... And I saw this in the character profiles.



I feel like my whole world around me has been shattered. ;_; I don't even know what to think...

I heard that it's insanely expensive to get one in Japan, but if you already have a driver's license from America, they'll just give you a driver's license in Japan for free. Well, playing video games is exactly what we did do. And admittedly, I did make it seem like I had something I wanted to talk about, and I did. But that quickly changed after hearing that news. I wanted to come off as interested and supportive, but it did kinda bother me, a little. ;_; We've always been friends though, so I can't imagine why he wouldn't visit... But yeah, I'm guessing I probably won't see him come over ever again now. ;.;

But later, we played some Mario Kart 8. I beat him in 2 different sets of races, so he decided to change things up by making us play battle mode, which honestly I had never touched. ...and I somehow won the first round by dumb luck, anyway. Then he won the final match.

Holy shit.

I just finished one "route", and it got pretty creepy. I kept averting my eyes, expecting a jumpscare. I tried to go for the Natsuki route, thinking I would end up romancing the loli, but that's NOT what happened. I already had a feeling that Sayori was going to end up killing herself, and as I got closer to Natsuki, I kept expecting it more and more. Especially after I rejected her confession.

So when MC came up to her bedroom door, I was prepared to advert my eyes before pressing enter, just in case. But when he was in mid-word, while it was being typed out, I got the suicide "jump scare", so I couldn't even prepare myself for that!

Then it did a sort of 4th-wall-breaking thing a la Undertale or something where the game "glitched" up, and then I got my ending. And returning to the title screen, the "new game" text was all glitched up, and so was Sayori's picture. It was all scrambled. Then, after selecting "new game", all her dialogue was garbled nonsense, and even her name wouldn't display properly. As soon as she was supposed to appear, the game sort of "reset", and now it's beginning anew, except it's like Sayori never existed in the first goddamn place.

And I think the club president is the one behind all this. She probably knew about MC-kun's rejection not because Sayori told her, but because she has some sort of literal game-breaking powers. I get the feeling I'm gonna have to "kill" off the rest of the girls and president girl is gonna be the last confrontation.

So now I have an idea of what's going on here. Seems kind of interesting so far.

I'm exactly the same way. When I see spoiler tags, I have an uncontrollable urge to reveal them. I suppose as a result, I'm more of a "journey and not the destination" sort of guy.

I'd still recommend playing it unless you're really turned off by that now.

Out of my own morbid curiosity, I tried to check it out on Steam without reading this topic or any Steam reviews. Using the above from TC's post, I'm suspecting something big happens. I looked at the store page for any clues, and this is all I got:

"This game is not suitable for children
or those who are easily disturbed."

That, "...those who are easily disturbed." part is what gets me. It makes me even more suspicious of this game, but I can't really guess what else could happen. Everything on the screenshots and store page info seem innocent enough...

My best guess? The girls are secretly terrifying eldritch abominations that reveal their true form when you get close enough to them, and the game does a 180 and becomes scary as fuck or something, maybe with jump scares.

Either way, my curiosity is piqued, so I'm gonna try it out now, too.
