Theyre hard in comparison to most games coming out nowadays due to being not quite as upfront about information, as well as having to engage in timing specific combat against enemies that were programmed with somewhat aggressive AI that pushes you if you make a mistake.

But thats way to hard to say in conversation son, so we just say Dark Souls is hard.

Why did Akiras friend whip out a gun against some random teens? How did he convince this shy crybaby (lol) to go to some crazy drug party to prove demons exist? How many people did the titty monsters eat? Why can Akira seemingly control his demon when others couldnt?

Im debating watching more. Is it a show that youre just sort of supposed to roll with and not take very seriously? Seems that way, and Im okay with it if thats the case.

The issue is that there arent really enough enemies whos attacks or AI are dangerous enough to really push the combat into the spotlight.

I think its one of the best games ever made, right up there in the top three. But best combat in an action RPG? Id probably give that to NiOh, or maybe Kingdom Hearts 2 FM

Games should be designed from the ground up without mini maps. Were basically being taught to stare down our radar rather than really observe the game world, or pay attention to directions.

I dont want a dev to lead me toward something that they decide is interesting. I want to stumble onto it through my own exploration.

It adds more replayability and is more engaging when you have to actually think for yourself.
