honestly the trance abilities are super in your favor. curaga does like a full heal. you just have to be able to survive the souped up iron giant which isnt easy. fortunately, debrave is a thing now

made it to 55 today, and hit 10k stamina for the event with a day to spare. that felt like a big hill to climb but Im still at 90ish stamina pots.

currently sitting at 155k power and just waiting for the new event to land tomorrow. Aerith is really cornering the market on event outfits but I dont mind since shes my MVP.

new co-op battles too. Ill probably start grinding through those before doing anything with the exp battles. I did very few of those and let my experience come naturally (which is why I still only have 3 guys at 50)

by the way, a nice tip for the gold tickets. when you get your x200 daily prize, dont claim the prize from the event and let it come to your main gift box at the end of the day. then, when you grab the 200, itll unlock the next 200 and you can repeat that until the last day.

I used Aerith for that reason and tried to do nothing but heal. Died on the second hit along with the rest of my team

I hope they add new leveling quests because thats going to be a grind as the numbers get bigger. Im all about banking as many memories as possible too because that economy is also going to be a struggle as we start to need 40, 45 memories to unlock a path on the grid.

I havent posted here much lately but Im up to 140k power and just grinding Ramuh hard out of a lack of things to do. theres no reason to grind the new event as the daily rewards are enough to eventually get everything notable that they offer.

after many many tries, I finally have diamond dust. that Shiva fight was a nightmare for my physical Cloud build and I needed to do everything nearly perfectly, including when to trip her phases, to make it work. maybe now I can get back into the top 100 of that one event.

I got an A+ for beating 4 of the 6. I probably could have made a fight of one more since I had no trouble with 4, but I dunno, those numbers get pretty big.

I thought I was doing pretty good but my rank isnt as high as I was hoping.

how were your sephiroth pulls? disappointed in mine, i'm left with his best weapon being a firaga all which i already have in a couple of spots, serves nicely on the soldier 3rd class boss though i guess

I dont love mine right now. Im not sure what to do so Im just kinda hanging back and not wasting any materials until I decide on a path. I think the next couple days of pulls will help push me in a direction. heres what ive got.

well, today was a genome pod day which means half my stamina is gone. but hey, these two weapons being 10 levels higher is worth something I guess!

how many came from finding 5 star weapons? Ive found two so far but the other two are from 3 and 4 star drops.

those two are so unfulfilling. I hate dropping 60 stamina and seeing 0 megapods. sometimes 1 feels even worse

as for Sephiroth, you didnt think theyd make a whole campaign about young Sephiroth and not make him playable? ever crisis is definitely a fan service game so this was always going to be the path, and theyll lock him out of the ff7 story battles.

Ive beaten hard Shiva a half dozen times or so. I havent had much trouble with her and Im in the 105k range

yeah my thinking on farming summons is that its the only ice/fire drops in the game that are consistent. I have a 4* Ifrits Blade and a 1* Shivas blade for two of my 3 main guys, and each one helps out vs. the other. I wish the 5* weapon was a more consistent drop. Ive only been able to get 1 of each and Ive fought the 100k Ifrit fight many times. Im not sure if it can drop more than once but the game says it is a common drop.

speaking of drops - is there any way to upgrade the buster sword? I dont see it as an option in the preferred drop list and I have 0 weapon parts for it

you know what else drives me nuts? magical attack materia vs. the blow materia. the game always gives my magical attacker the blow and my physical attacker the magic one, and I assume its better to switch it but I have no clue.

hmm, maybe. Ifrits only the biggest problem, dealing with the bombs when they get below half HP is another one. I can do it, just takes careful planning (and waiting for limit breaks).

you have to get a ways in to access the event still. Im near the endgame though with $0 spent and dont feel like Ive really missed out on anything, so its definitely doable.

yeah I spent a lot of time thinking about premium quests yesterday and came to the same conclusion. now I spend all 3 quests grinding memories on fairly easy fights. Id rather get 3-4 nodes for a character than 5-8 materials. there needs to be a better way to get those materials. Im thinking playing the long game and trading various currencies for it is going to be the way, so I spend time working on summons in the meantime since I can get relevant weapon parts alongside it.

as for the crisis dungeons, I dont do them until I am *sure* I can s+ it due to how rare those damn things are. I agree, sometimes I hit a boss Im not ready for and I have to deal with it. I handle that by just being way stronger than them.

yeah. unlocking that second limit is super hard though. I wont be winning any 170k fights anytime soon! I cant tell if ~8 upgrades are better than a limit level up.

Im half convinced that wutai 2 chocobo hunt only has 70% items. ive been at 70 for like 2-3 days now despite using like 20 chocoboosters.

it seems to be getting worse the higher you get. the game likes to take my best weapon on a character and make it a subweapon on another one. drives me nuts. I also have been working on ifrits sword so it gets prioritized for every encounter with a fire weakness, over my fully overboosted, higher level umbrella weapon. they even put a notice out to apologize about this and said it wouldnt be fixed until october.

I finally drew a 5 star weapon for Matt! I had like 6 for every other character so it was getting pretty hilarious. Im almost disappointed it finally happened.

nice! I have a 5 star level 90 one (my own level 90) but i want to get it higher and probably will never get one. im weirdly worried that if i get other overboosted weapons, itll auto equip them and not fairy tale and ill have to change it every time

none of those, I think? maybe metaphor but who even knows what that is right now. I think Im most looking forward to the suikoden remaster for random reasons, and eiyuden if that actually pans out.

I dont think anyone knows. it seems weird to transfer in just 8 dudes, presumably on level 1 but expect you to continue from where you are. but, even if I lose my time its fun. there are breeding charts out there and ive been trying to get what seem like the most interesting guys going forward.

Im team $0 for life and wont let myself budge on that even when I see all those season pass levels going unfulfilled

only crazy people skip the stamina boost! Id hate that I cant stamina boost the premium quests

it is crazy how much materia you have to put in at level 7 or so to level it up. its like, level 4? maybe 3 stars if materia. level 8? something like 30

Ive been thinking the same. We just got a ton of stamina that I cant hold yet so I went right to grinding Shiva. It could be a game changer in specific fights.

summons are useful at times (those charge meters where you have to hit weaknesses, for example) but the investment is not worth the amount of effort you have to put in. I can see myself going for that when Ive run out of other things to do. the thing is, Im sure well get bahamut and others added later that will make these guys obsolete.
