I've come to realize that many people just aren't mature and don't critically think, which causes them to be self-righteous hypocrites with obnoxious attitudes and low self-awareness. People don't like being wrong (and consequently feeling bad) and sadly, that often takes precedence over facts and logic. I'm at the age where I no longer have the patience to deal with those who cannot be reasoned with, no matter what their political/philosophical affiliations are. Lack of rationality causes much of human conflict, but until societal culture changes then it is what it is. |
