In FO3 (I think less so in NV) they're easy as hell to deal with, you just blow them up and their legs are then crippled. Or just shoot their legs.

In 4, they seem to be almost uncrippleable because their general health is almost gone by the time their leg finally cripples. They also kill in like 2 hits even if you're in power armor, at least on survival mode

Only time you have free tools to deal with them that I've seen so far is the fist time with the power armor. Aside from that, I've been on my own with them

The threat to vision is greatly exaggerated. Yes, it does have a harmful effect, but this will vary wildly depending on the individual and it will take long and sustained viewing in the dark to cause any real harm.

I should have clarified, I just mean eye strain and whatnot. I didn't even know it could cause real damage, I thought that was a myth

That's how I am at least, bright screen in a dark room hurts my eyes after just a few minutes
