It should be acknowledged that he said it, sure. Then he needs to be told to go fuck himself.
Telling people to fuck off is how you end up with 75 year old grandpas saying things like this. That's not the way to go about this topic, clearly, because it's been several decades and you still have gays, lesbians, and other groups being marginalized in huge populations of the world and barely making any permanent progress in the US. The topic is so personal to people, being tied to their identities and lifestyles, that any discussion immediately boils over into an emotional cage match with one side the vilified and ostracized victims and the other being the self-proclaimed righteous defenders of children. I don't want to bum anyone out but I seriously don't think we'll ever see total acceptance of gays, lesbians, transexuals, or any other marginalized group in our lifetimes because there will always be those holdouts that feel personally attacked by whatever message is said, whatever action is taken, whatever progress is made, and will find it to be morally acceptable to fight back and draw others to their side. Again, not trying to ruin anyone's Saturday, so I'll see myself out and I apologize for only responding to one point in my initial post.

Sure. I'll concede that.

The part that stood out to me is the part I addressed: the "fad chasing" he alludes to. That's something that should be acknowledged, not the imaginary rapist that will waddle into a bathroom and assault someone we've been hearing about for 4 years from the right yet somehow haven't encountered.

I don't think he said anything unreasonable, same with Paul Stanley. Ted Nugent definitely crossed that line, and I think Carlos Santana's recent rant (at a concert, no less) was a bit ignorant.

Im understanding that there are cases of transgender, but Im afraid that its also a fad, and Im afraid theres a lot of people claiming to be this just because they want to be that.

This can be said about lots of stuff. The problem springs up when people handwave all trans people and dismiss them as chasing a trend or looking for attention which, from what I could gather, is the opposite of what they want.

Just no, do one. A memorial for someone who'd just passed is and will never be the place to start with "well maybe it was the vaccine", the mods of a pro-wrestling sub are absolutely right to shut that **** down. Even on a normal day, that's not the place, and minutes after Bray Wyatt's death was announced was most certainly neither the time nor the place.
The family literally said he developed further heart complications due to COVID. Not the vaccine, but the virus. COVID. Yet antivaxxers ignored that and turned it into a debate about the vaccine. They did exactly what I said:

agreed but look what happens when ppl call out corruption in the gaming industry they get attacked by former gamergate members
There 100% needs to be more transparency and openness within the gaming journalism circle. You've got places like IGN openly omitting platforms for game announcements in an act of deception to prop up a certain platform that starts with "P" and ends with "layStation 5". When questioned about this on social media (again, lack of openness: the only way to contact these journalists and actually get a response is on Twitter, where you need to hope enough people either dogpile on them and build pressure or "like" your post enough to draw their attention), you get a non-answer or a block. There are also so many shady practices within the industry that journalists are not shining a light on in fear of being blacklisted or withheld from certain events or launches. Compare gaming journalism to automotive journalism, where journalists will tell engineers and division leads to their face that their products are disappointments and some decisions are alienating consumers, or sports journalists that regularly get into it with athletes, GMs, and coaches when they feel the fans are getting a raw deal. Gaming journalism needs a (90s) Howard Stern.

It's sad seeing the replies ITT and knowing these people are almost all older than me.

OP, there's no way to "shut down" anti-vax rhetoric because they've dug their heels too far into the dirt and refuse to budge. In typical my-personality-revolves-politics fashion, they put on the faade of a concerned citizen only looking out for your best interests, softly guiding you by the hand toward a more peaceful existence and away from dangers that they can see but you can't. Are they actually looking out for you? Of course not. They want you to join their side and bark the same things they do at those they've deemed the opposition. If they were sincerely, truly, authentically and wholeheartedly doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, they wouldn't take pride in their "pure blood" self-proclamation. That's how they see you: mudblood, impure, tainted. Make no mistake: they want the vaccines to be dangerous and want every single instance of someone passing out or experiencing a medical emergency to be caused by the vaccine that person got 3 years ago (and not the billions of chemicals that person has ingested since then) so they can validate the isolation and ostracization they brought upon themselves. You can't and won't change their minds because they place a greater importance on the indoctrination they've had shoved down their gullets over on anything you could say, do, or convey.
