It's vanished from existence apparently. I was checking top 100 lists and it's not ont here. It used to show up on my youtube way back when i would search old hip hop but it's gone now. It may have been Special Ed I got it made but that doesn't feel right. Kool Moe Dee has songs like that too where Big Daddy Kane is more what I'm going for.

It was a pretty obscure song but was well known enough. It's most defining trait was it just gave off that vibe of driving around NYC in the late 80's early 90's. I'm pretty sure it was even in GTA game because of that.

Nope that's the problem. If I could I'd just google it. I can remember the beat and would know it if I saw it. I swear it was in one of the GTA games too but I just went down the list and couldn't find it. I might be confusing it with Special Ed I got it made that way. But it wasn't that. It was not really a pop song. It was more oldschool rap.

I can't think of this song and it's driving me nuts. I was probably more late 80's. Possibly early 90's but older than that most likely. It wasn't any of the really famous rappers at the time like LL Cool J, or KRS One. It also wasn't a super popular one hit wonder but may have been a one hit wonder. But was more real hip hop/rap Gave off New York vibes so probably from New York. THe closest I can come up with are MC Shan or Gang Starr or one of those but I don't think it was them. I can't find the song under any of them. Not special Ed either. It wasn't a super popular song. But had a really good beat to it that gave off NYC vibes like i was saying. Wasn't Ghetto Boys either. Kind of a very obscure song but was popular at the time.

Because the internet is just weird that way. Quora is full of pseudo intellectualism like i was saying and youtube is the polar opposite and i don't really do either. Malls not so much but was it's own bubble in time. I can't imagine people being that way. Even the real world isn't but has become more disconnected like i was saying. Even reddit is full of all sorts of silly questions when I already know the answer. People are messed up Living on another planet.

Life is weird sometimes. Times change and I get that. I had moved on that whole scene and was living a totally other life. I was more of the mentality that things change and you just change with it but was more just living my life. Most of my friends are the same in that regard and are doing totally other things now. Some have families. Some are doctors, musicians etc, etc.. All over the map really. A friend of mine committed suicide and the last person I'd expect to do that.

The internet is full of judgement by very blind peoplel and the way society is going in general. I go outside and the actual world is so much different than what you even see on the internet. Maybe it's where I live which has issues too, but it's nothing like the internet.

People seem much more disconnected in general and the internet gives off this false sense of reality where people are not that connected to what is really going on. People need instant gratification and they aren't as nuanced as far as how you achieve that. Millennials in general are in their own worlds. There is lots of judgement out there in general that is just false.

Quora is full of pseudo intellectualism and youtube is the polar opposite and just as bad for other reasons. I don't really do either.

I hate explaining things like I said. I do it because I've been made to do it, because people if I'm just myself it's ridiculous. It takes the fun out of everything. They do it but if i do it i'm wrong for some reason. The internet is bad that way. There are control freakish people out there who have no clue what they are doing to someone. I have to be the better person which is bullcrap anyways. I don't want to be that.

People say they chill on this lovely world i sometimes wonder if that's true. They seem to have issues with quite a bit. I know i do. How i even see the world and what people assume I"m even doing. I was like a jock/nerd when iw as younger. I played sports too and was just more social. I wasn't closed off from the world by any means. These people doing the judging i really wonder if they ever even played sports. People act all chill but are they? I never thought a bad thing about anyone really overly is the thing. The hating on the haters and everything. I can be really nerdy or i can be not nerdy at all. I went to school for CS and just liberal arts and I like that stuff. I also like sports. Probably why i haven't killed anyone yet. I don't mind people talking about different things. It's not really my issue at all if i even have one. They do it then if you do it they have an issue with it.

I worked in tech support too and it's funny that way. People out there I don't know sometimes. I used to really try to help people too but you meet all sorts of people. The egos on some of them. Some of them do not know of what they speak. There is way too much of that out there in general because of the internet and people judging everything when they do not know of what they speak.

All the good stores in malls are gone now and people. IT's pretty sad to see. Most stores are overpriced and window dressing because people just shop online. I used to meet so many people that way though. Wal-mart is terrible. People in that place have the social accumen of whatever it is. They have literally stripped away anything human whatsoever. You can't even go into these places and ask a question. They just look at you funny, don't know, whatever it is.

I basically grew up in one and was very social that way. In person though. I used to work at and managed a video game store called Babbage's all through high schoola dn college. I go into them now and they don't feel safe anymore. They are dead. I also can't stand strip malls and the stores around now. ALl the good stores that used to be in malls have been consolidated into Wal-Mart or people shop online. Even Babbage's was into gamestop. That explains my video game addiction. It actually was awesome working there. We could borrow games and try them out because they wanted employees to know about the games, Gaming was much more social that way. People used to get togehter and do all sorts of things. They still have shows and there is one store that still does stuff now. Probably why i can't stand youtube. I spent the rest of my life trying to get away from that stuff, although I went to school for CS but was always more social than that, when youtube it's people talking to a screen and it's all ego too.

Gaming culture does not bother me that way. I've been around these people my entire life. Different generation but it's still teh same people. Just working more professional jobs now.

It's weird you say that because I'm not even who you think like I said. It's something to do with the internet in general where most people here are that. It's a delusion. The internet is full of trolls and nutcases. It's the norm on the internet for people to hate everything. When I'm not saying that here. Just certain things I don't because it's true. It's phony. Most of these people I'm talking about are losers and any ounce of truth offends most of you. You seriously get mad at the dumbest of things. It makes no sense other than that. If people don't like me here I don't really care. I just usually think what I do. The internet has created a false reality for some people and it's where all the losers go to roost and hate on anything actually good.

Most of my friends or the people I associate with are not typically on here like I said. They are actual talented and intelligent people. A lot of what you see in the media is narcissistic and fake.

It seriously is full of people like that where if you challenge that notion whatsoever even not even intentially they basically ostracize and lash out because it's some fake bubble they are living in. I'm not a troll at all is the thing. The internet is full of people who are though. Some have become successful at it. It's seriously all these people know. They are d-bags a fair amount.

I don't mind the slang so much. It's more how it's used and by who. I feel like I can see right through these people some of them.

It's like Cardi B and that tongue roll she does. That's her doing that. Hipster culture in general. Not every trendy person is a hipster. And not every hipster is a jerk. But some are. Everything is so expensive now. I should be quiet about it. Because apparently no one is buying them and the word might get out. Seriously when you can get 12 ice cream sandwiches for 2 bucks that's a win.

I was seriously expecting them to be terrible because it's walmart and had to be some reason, but they are ice cream sandwiches and really tasty. Just basic supply and demand. I don't know. It's middle of august.

Not that copying Resident Evil 4 is a bad thing but it's not pushing me to spend $500 when I can basically play the same game. I've been gaming too long where once you've played one game you've played them all.

Cyberpunk Phantom LIberty is what I really want because Cyberpunk basically sucks on ps4.

Mafia 3 has the racism aspect of npc's. It has driving races and side activities like drug running, drug making, etc, etc. Mafia 2 just has the car junk yard to recycle cars for money and gun shops. Mafia 1 has none of this. Mafia 3 also has different environments and areas where each district is different and has different things going on. It has boats you can drive. Alligators in the rivers etc. You can't fish like red dead but there is just more going on. All games have collectibles.

Mafia 3 gets very repetitive with the having to work your way up to get sub boss. It's fun as a sandbox that way but is repetitive. The main story and dlc's are better but feel tacked on.

Mafia 2 changes seasons and has a better sense of progression and time just changing. Each section of the game even being in prison just seems to have a better sense of time and progression.

I like how you can drive boats in 3 as well and alligators. The bayou in general adds a whole new flavor to the game. Just how they designed it is meh. But like I siad. The world itself is there. It's more what they did with it. I think 3 has the best world overall. 2 I like how the world changes and just atmosphere in general just feels like the time period. Definitive edition is almost too well done. There is nothing wrong with it. It's a pretty flawless remake. It's just nothing that really grabs me about it. They did nothign but remake the game. There is nothing added.

Divinity Original Sin 2. Good game so far. Harkens back to the days of yor. And how games are supposed to be in ways. I'm still on ps4. RDR just came out and between that and RDR2 I still see no reason to upgrade yet. Maybe when Starfield comes out but I doubt it. Cyberpunk phantom liberty as well. This fall is really the first time games are coming out I'd like to play. Alan Wake 2 and Alone in the Dark. I got Divinity Original Sin just because of Baldur's gate 3 and it's good so far. I'm not a crpg nut either. They were making these games in the 90's. But good game and I wish games more progressed from there then the brain dead games out now. I keep going back and forth on this. None of them are great open worlds. but graphically the world and asthetics are really well done. Driving feels good and atmosphere and everything. I have been playing definitive edition just because it's considered the best but I'm not so sure. Mafia III is a better sandbox imo even though it's too repetitive. Mafia 2 has the best atmosphere imo and characters. Graphically it's not that far behind the other 2 either. The other 2 are updated but Mafia 2 was really good at the time and does certain things better.

I'm not even fighting a war lol. System wars. I was just saying. People have these things backwards. If we were to fight a war I'd win that with humor anyways. I haven't even bought an xbox yet and might be done this generation anyways. But if I do it will probably be a series S just so i can play certain games. Really it's half the price because of what people are saying and I'll take advantage of that. It fits what I need. I don't need 4k. If Starfield flops I'll just wait some more.

I've been holding off this gen like I said. The ps4 still has all the games I want to play and ps5 is offering nothing that makes me want to spend $500 and rebuy games.

Honestly the console wars are fucking tired. 99% of what comes out is either one console/PC or multiplat. The ones that aren't are usually remakes or in house series of differing quality.

You don't need to lie or make up reasons to justify your purchase. You just bought what you like. There's even less reason to have a pissing contest over which pseudo -PC is better than the other.

That's just my POV though, but to me, most of the exclusives look like trash this gen.

I don't know where you got this from. Some of you are lying and pissing about it. I was just looking at the games and just made the comment the xbox is winning as far as that and it's half the price for the series S. And Sony does charge like 10 dollars more for the ps5 version fo games if you have a ps4. I have a ps4 currently and haven't even bought an Xbox yet.

I don't care if the playstation sells 8 billion and the xbox sells 1. It doesn't affect me. Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft still have a percentage of the market share and gaming isn't that diverse these days like people have tried to make it. You basically have 3 choices. I'm not that immature here. Quite the opposite. The other stuff i was just joking. I was just looking at the games and noted that the xbox is actually winning as far as games but millions bought that apparently. I didn't even know the playstation was that far ahead as far as sales. And Starfield could flop for all i know right now.

I'm still on ps4 here. Something doesn't add up with your comments because it's not what I said at all. I think if anything it just shows most consumers are mindless and will just buy what they are told and don't want to fuss about anything and willl end up pissing if someone says anything outside their bubble.

I still think Starfield may flop as well. It will probably end up more Bethesda's version of what Destiny was for ps4.

Why are you pushing this "back in my day" angle so hard? I grew up in the 80s and 90s too. It's not some massive paradigm shift.

I'm not pushing anything overly. I was just making the point that sales and marketing are sales and marketing. People can get a million views on youtube by simply existing these days. I was just looking at the games and it wasn't even a thought in my mind is all, and you are all bringing up sales and talking about diversity of sales when if you really look at it. It's not that diverse.

BOth consoles are even using the same hardware pretty much and it comes down to a handful of games. It just goes to show what marketing will do. If choosing between the two people will buy playstation because their friend has playstation or whatever and they can play together.

People in my day would literally build their own why it didn't count as diversifying which is a misnomer. ANd if we couldn't build our own gaming machines we'd make our own fun in other ways too. Seriously arcades didn't really count either towards that. That's diversity. Games were the machines and the machines were games.
