Both games cover the original DB story but the gameplay is different from AA. I also think that the games look fantastic for DS titles. I'd also recommend Dragon Ball Fusions on 3DS, that's a neat game with a fusion mechanic that can get pretty wild.

I imagine they stopped because it was no longer an easy cheap cash grab. It cost a lot less to slap together a game on the PS2 than it does now Yeah, pretty sure the main reason is that development has gotten so expensive that it's not worth it, especially when most are rushed in order to meet the launch for the movie.
