Streaming and having to interact with an audience, speedrunning, yes. If I could make a living making walkthroughs, longplays, or doing reviews, I think I'd be happy.

I replayed Sonic Adventure when it came out on XBLA. I hated the fishing as a kid and it prevented me from finishing the game back then and my assessment as an adult is that it actually sucks so bad that it brings down the rest of the game and Knuckles levels weren't all that hot either.

SA2 is still pretty fresh in my head. Still had Rogue/Knuckles to contend with, but I can deal with everyone else's levels. Trying to get completion was a pain, I couldn't manage before we lost the Gamecube (I had Battle)

Neither are as good as any of the Genesis platformers. I think SA2 is at least better than Sonic CD though...

Briefly. Our family owned Desert Strike. I either played Jungle Strike at a friend's house or we rented it.

Patient gamer is the internet term I've heard for it. I haven't cared about FFVII to the point where I need to experience every release of its extended universe day 1 in well over a decade. I have crap to play to keep me occupied in the meantime.

Mass Effect and Dragon Age imported story and quest decisions but they didn't import your gear or level either. You just got a few bonuses like starting ME2 from level 5.

You don't make story decisions in FFVII Remake so it's not really a great comparison.

It is actually kind of hilarious that so many people are like all the sequential rpgs do it! We swear! And fucking MASS EFFECT doesnt lol.

My personal umbrage (and I'm not alone given some of the posts itt regarding it specifically) would be acknowledgement of completed sidequests into the next game, so it is still quite relevant. And that's still a symptom of a more major issue that the side content is so compacted with filler that it doesn't effect anything... The original FFVII had a few of the most plot-relevant sidequests in the genre.

Also, to clarify I have NOT played R yet because I was waiting for the inevitable package where they release all 3 games (and in-between stuff like Intergrade) for the price of one...

A lot of things have existed since the PS1 era. Doesn't make them the norm.

It's an expectation at this point. Like if a long game didn't have game saves we'd all agree it was fucking weird. If direct story sequels in the RPG genre don't let you carry stuff between games it's fucking weird.

It's been a thing available for story games since Suikoden. Laughable that a PS5 game series (an AAA one at that) doesn't have the capabilities of PS1 games.

Is there atleast a potentially interesting and/or bombastic story to tell? No.

Crash is popular and even has worldwide appeal. Crash 3 was the highest selling western-made game in Japan when it came out.

The real hurdle is that they're either going to have a silent protag in the movies or this will be his first speaking role across all forms of media (unless something changed in recent games, I haven't f'd with Crash since Warped).

It's not a game that has a lot of replay value. I would just load up an old save and fight superbosses in Archylte Steppe and maybe go for Plat (if it's still attainable; there's like two or three enemies that are one-time deals in Cocoon for a complete bestiary) You get a bonus ATB bar if you load up a save from after you beat Orphan.
