That is the remastered version

I thought the remastered would be in widescreen?

Is there anywhere to watch the remastered version of The Next Generation? I'm watching on Paramount Plus but it's the 4:3 version.

Just be straight with the president. Go back to and tell him "Hey, I was looking for work because it looked like everyone was out of a job and I got another offer. I'd love to stay, but I need you to match them on the pay."

I actually did ask for more and he said he couldn't increase the pay but he offered me 2 things. The ability to work hybrid as needed, and 1 extra week of PTO, plus 8 holidays off a year. EDIT: Also he said if I got covid he would still pay my salary and not force me to take PTO, something my old job never did.

My remote job gives me decent PTO but I get no holidays off and no time and a half on those holidays.

Nope. If you're "too valuable" they can absolutely match your previous pay, if not beat it. He's lowballing you. Tell him you need your prior salary plus 10%.

I corrected my original post. It's the same pay as my previous job but less then the remote one.

Why do you hate the remote job? Is it something you can get over or is it a deal breaker? I dont like the fact that they offered you less than what you were making, if they wanted you to stay. If they wanted to keep you it shouldnt be a stretch to match your current pay.

I need to correct this in the OP, the remote job paid 5% more then my old one.

Honestly, I hate being home. If this was me 10 years ago, I would've loved the idea of a remote job, but I can't stand video chatting with management all the time, not seeing anyone, plus I'm dealing with a job that holds a lot more liabilities remotely then my old one.

My old one they didn't care how you did the job, as long as it got done. If I finished my work in 4 hours, they didn't try and add more to me. This remote one I get a call when my teams icon goes to yellow.

My company was bought out and at first we were told all of the office staff were being let go as of November 30th. I got another job, a fully remote job, that pays the same.

Ghe company that bought out my company is one I interviewed for in the past and I really liked them.

I was just contacted by the president of the company and they offered me a job, he said I'm too valuable to be let go and sees me as a growing piece of the company. It would be similar to what I was doing before, which I loved, but it pays a little less then the remote job. I was the only office staff contacted to stay out of 15 others.

The problem I'm facing, is it is a smaller company that bought out mine, more of a family company, but I just started my remote job less then two weeks ago, but I also hate the remote job.

What should I do? Take the new offer, which is a little less then the remote job, in a field I was extremely happy in or keep the remote job?

I believe it only lasted like a few episodes before it was canned.

Lasted 24 episodes before it was canned and it actually had decent ratings. They had a season 2 planned and everything and it just randomly got canceled.

Anyone remember this show or even the movie?

I hope it will, my line of work is in demand, but not really for my area.

I was going to just switch over to Max but if it doesn't have everything, then I'd rather just keep Discovery+ and cancel MAX.

No one would care about the green or blue argument if it didn't mess up group chats. That's the one thing I hate about non-iMessage group chats, I can't leave them.

Well there is a saying, " Hope for the best, Plan for the worst"

so get ready, keep looking, network, let everyone know you are looking for a job. Get some kind of card or something with your name and phone number on it.

it seems like one bad fact, can wash away 10 good points about you. or person just did not " click" with you. or you were SO good, you made them feel threatened.

There are 100 reasons to not get a job. The fact is keep looking, if they want you, they will come to you. We are cheering for YOU!!!!!

Companies put down and up such ads all the time.

Because "new" job offers are more attractive than old ones.

The original job ad was up from Friday-Monday and then taken down. Put back up Thursday which they said they would let me know about the position on Friday.

What does that mean?

They were really positive in the interview, I could've sworn I nailed it. They were using the words "we" when referring to me and the team and also introduced me to other staff and told me these are who I'll rely on.

Update: I did go and it was a stomach bug and I was very dehydrated. They gave me fluids and some meds and sent me on my way.

I'm pooping literal water, have been for 2 days, coughing up a storm, coming from my chest, have a fever, and I am very lethargic.

I have tested negative for covid 4 times throughout the past 2 days to make sure it wasn't that.
