Tbh its part of the reason why I got one. Im mostly with Apple cuz upgrading is so easy and Ive been in the app ecosystem for so long. Not having to worry about extra charging cables when my friends all have Androids is nice

Oh yeah, especially character alternate abilities in Prismatic Trials. Considerably easier than in RoR2 where getting some skills could be an absolute nightmare (or you had to set up a run specifically for getting achievements).

Ive been playing it and its fun. RoR2 was my first game in the series. @badjay told me the original was obscenely hard and he doesnt get why people liked it. The game does like to spam enemies at you more than in RoR2 (which i feel ramps up slower than this game and feels too easy at the start) and I guess kiting is a lot harder because you dont have the z axis to kite with.

But would you say they made the remake easier than the original?

(Im also hoping my main from RoR2, Artificer, is fun as I havent unlocked her yet)

Id hope that BHVR learned from the first delisting to make sure theres no crazy expiration date. Theyve shown theyre fine with skins becoming delisted, with AoT only being purchasable for a year (now its coming to mobile with a much larger collection and the console/pc player base is not happy about it)

The content was infamously de-listed almost 2 years ago and fans have been wanting it back for a while. Since the game is heavily built off licensed content it alarmed a lot of people (given that crossovers have only become more prevalent in a post-Fortnite era) that it was pulled after a little bit over 2 years of being in the game. Players who owned the content could still use it (including a killer with their own unique power), and the perks would all become generic. The map that came with the DLC was also disabled when this happened.

They state that no other content will be announced and this doesnt replace any currently planned content (so the solo killer license is still coming)

Im getting the new iPhone cuz my current one is having issues and I need to make sure its functioning for the VPN I use for work.

Apple is being forced to switch to USB-C which is great but my current AirPods still use Lightning which is inconvenient to say the least. Also the battery life on them has def gone down which is annoying.

So Im wondering whether I should get AirPods Pro 2 rn or wait for AirPods 3 with USB-C case my main concern is how they fit in your ears. I use my AirPods to death including at the gym so I was disappointed when they told me at the store that they dont let people try them on anymore.

I dont give a shit about the Apple brand or anything (I stick with the phone because upgrading requires minimal research and Im stuck in their app ecosystem with decade + of app purchases I have) but Ive always liked the EarPod designs, and thats why Im wary of the AirPods Pro being different. Thats the deciding factor for me really.

Also the DLC is so cheap that if you like the game there is really no reason not to get it

It's more game, and the maps are actually varied with static layouts instead of being repeated environments

If you like the game and are a completionist or just want to unlock some really OP shit then yeah I think so.

I didn't really care about the characters from Mt. Moonspell but some of the weapons are pretty awesome, like the Four Seasons (causes explosions in a rectangular pattern around your character, with the candalabrador it is extremely powerful) and Summon Night (which causes daggers or... fangs? to drop down from the top of the map and leave temporarily burning lines that cause damage; this starts off weak as hell but with upgrades and the evolution you get full map coverage). There were some weapons that felt kinda samesy as the base game weapons just with slightly better gimmicks, like the 108 Bocce (gives you a short range aura sort of like the Garlic, except the balls around you pop out periodically to give some ranged damage).

Tides of the Foscari is more interesting, though. There is a second map to unlock, it requires you to play all its characters to advance, it gives a weapon set that became a staple for my 100k+ runthroughs, *and* you can unlock probably the most powerful character in the game in it.

I think for the price it's not a bad deal if you are ultimately OK with more of the same, it's not like it introduces revolutionary gameplay mechanics but you do get a little more build variety.

Garlic is one of the best weapons in the game tho, simply because it increases knockback on enemies from all other weapons when they are hit by it

108 Bocce is good too but it doesn't have an evolution and instead derives its power off of the difference between curse and luck (which ever is higher) which are not usually stats you want to be speccing into unless going certain builds

Sadly it's a lot of ppl who can't handle the harder maps and would rather try the familiar map for a win. But the frequent winners are much better at those maps imo, and ppl should try to branch out

A lot of people just pick the easy maps because they are not as good at the game and that's fine I guess. I pick them too now that I've figured out how to win races.

Got my 2nd win today and in 99 too so I got the skin for Fire Stingray.

Nice! Its a good feeling when you cross that finish line and the 1 pops on the screen. Its really tough to do.

And just a heads up, I believe that you cannot rank out on the final race of the GP. I believe there are only 20 racers, and the qualification to finish is top 20. So if you wanna just take the last race easy and finish it, you can conserve your energy.

AND I finally made it past White Land I... thank god I got like 3 KOs to have the health bar I needed

I dont like DND because I dont like role playing and using my imagination. Also had a friend who would drag out the talking/roleplaying sections.

I like BG3 a lot though, both because of the ability to render the world, and the constraints of it being in video game form has on how the scenarios play out. Also the writing is very good too, at least where I am in Act 1. Cant speak of the overall writing but the moment to moment stuff

I feel like there's tons of little tricks you have to do to go fast and the game doesn't tell you all of them

Like I just learned today that the best way to keep speed after a jump is to hit down right before you land

DBD chapters cost like $10 total for 2 characters. Meanwhile in TCM it costs $10 for a single character that youre not even guaranteed to get to play since you have to choose a unique character from everyone else (and the killers have to have a Leatherface on their team)

A complete fighting game is a dead fighting game. Once no more content is coming out for the game, players just move on.

The days of players going back to the same game over and over for years in the 1990s has long gone.

The culture and attitudes towards fighting games have changed since then. Sure we played Alpha 2 without knowing that Alpha 3 was coming but I doubt we would have done so now.

It was different back when arcades were a thing too and you played what was there.

But also I saw the hardcores complain a lot about that game when it was new too.

Fighting games are DOA nowadays if they don't have steady content/DLC planned, because that indicates the dev is going to support the game with patches

Eh, at one point (pre-pandemic) he was asserting that they could cause autism. Really the reason why he was pro-vax is because he wanted to take all of the credit for them existing.
