Manga is just a whole lot more accessible than comic. It's very easy to find scanlations of newly released series and ongoing favorites that you can read at your leisure hours, days even years later. With comics it's a lot more difficult. You gotta actually buy those, subscribe to a service, or hope you can find a decent torrent.

Here's a fascinating article on the subject. An overly simplistic summary would be that there are lots of kinds of mosquitoes, lots and lots. Many of which aren't harmful to humans or even helpful since they only eat other mosquito larvae. There are some specific varieties and one specific variety in particular that probably would be for the best and wouldn't cause much damage if we could get rid of it, and there are various techniques people have actually used to kill off harmful types of bugs in large areas, so there are some things people could try but they are expensive and complicated...

So if the topic is slightly modified to "have killinf off this one really nasty kind of mosquito that's the majority of human mosquito issues that shouldn't cause too many problems if it were gone succeed" I'd say yes. If it's all mosquitos no, not a good idea.

I don't even need to know how we will do it or come up with some kind of plan. Batman already has one. He probably has items hidden in his teeth or his stomach lining. He probably knows the right place to tap on the wall to find a hidden passage. We're basically already free, no normal prison can hold the gosh darn Batman.

It means the government is incompetent and usually just fucks things up when they try to help. Which makes sense, it's out of control bureaucracy with no competition for them to need to try. Unlike the private sector the government has no accountability or competition to make sure they actually perform like they should

The private sector doesn't have accountability or competition to preform correctly; all they need to do is make your want or need their products. This is sometimes the same thing. It isn't always.

Ideally the goverment would exist to impartially help it's citizens unlike the private sector that has profits in mind. Except we have so much lobbying too many politicans have priorities other than that..
