I'm glad that we're slowly moving away from this.

It's unrealistic and it's obviously driven by male fantasies. It's not bad to have fantasies. But it's silly to see some middle income schlub with a knockoff of a wife. It just feels kind of... possessive and objectifying. "Hey, baby. I'm paying you to pretend that you love me for the guy I am inside."

From a writing standpoint while that pairing is really inaccurate and outdated, it's a domestic version of the classic straight man/comedic foil TV trope from the 40s-70s. One person is a goofball, the other is someone more composed who has to deal with the goofball. I'd love to see very accurate, modern depictions of Millennial couples on TV but it'd probably be a buzzkill.

Peggy Bundy's entire gimmick was that she was incredibly tacky, lazy and constantly inconveniencing her exhausted, witty husband.

I rewatched a ton of old Awesome Show and Steve Brule and so much of their humor came from taking advantage of older people with mental issues or tricking aging, failed actors into doing small parts and editing them to depict them as unflattering as possible.

And then there was the sketch where they had an actual child eat a hot dog straight out of the hand of a really creepy dude, which resulted in them editing the child out for future airings because their parents complained.

AVGN is really hard to watch nowadays knowing that he was never into gaming and that someone else basically did everything for him except for the acting and video editing. Dunkey's entertaining but can be annoying as shit sometimes.

I wonder what the world would be like if smartphones remained business-oriented luxury items.

If I could somehow miraculously find a job that pays enough where I can survive independently, I'd at least tolerate working. But the chances of that happening are getting slimmer and slimmer by the day.

This hasn't really been the case in years. Especially these days, Apple hardware is ridiculously OP and while most of their products are still way too damn pricey, the high costs are a lot more justifiable than they used to be.

It's actually insane how in the span of a few years we went from Apple having 10/10 software on 4/10 hardware to Apple having 7/10 software on 11/10 hardware

The XR only supports 4G/LTE while everything from the iPhone 12 onward supports 5G. It depends what your carrier is. If it's an MVNO (Verizon Visible, T-Mobile Mint, etc.) you might have better reception with newer hardware.

The cameras aren't even that much improved in most real world uses/applications. Apple still uses the oil painting AI filter over pictures so they still look weird when you slightly zoom in on them.

If you take a lot of videos it's worth it but upgrading to a 15 is pointless unless you have a considerably old iPhone.

I would love this! The Adventure games are a lot of fun, and my son would have an absolute freak out if this happened. He is currently hyper-fixated on Sonic games and that's one of the few he doesn't directly have the means to play currently.

If you guys game on the PC, the Steam version with the (free) BetterSADX mod is the ideal way to play the game. It fully restores the game to its original version and adds a ton of new features including the seasonal DLC the Dreamcast version had.

I have an RTX 2080 and it's starting to show its age as far as 1440p/120-144Hz gaming go. I've been struggling to run Starfield and I can't imagine having a good experience on anything that isn't a 300X or 400X, unless I've been completely out of the loop and AMD has comparable or better cards for cheaper.

This is literally every Indeed listing in my area lmao. Even low-level retail and warehouse jobs aren't offering full time employment because employers don't want to provide benefits.

I honestly feel guilty about playing games and shit like that now. This current job hunt has been awful and looking at things objectively it feels like 100% of the money I make will just go into keeping me afloat and chipping away at my debt.

I used to be into tech and PCs but everything's gotten so damn expensive. I'd love to build my dream PC but even the cheaper components have gone up in price.

I've been playing games on both iOS and Android devices for years and I can't think of a single instance of a game running better on Android than iOS.

It's weird because Apple's recently been obsessed with making their hardware OP as fuck and viable for gaming yet they insist on forcing developers to only use their own APIs.

I haven't been hyped for an iPhone since the iPhone X years ago. I have a 12 Pro Max and I'm just not that interested in upgrading until it stops getting security updates and/or it breaks. iPhones just aren't fun and exciting anymore.

Literally just the iPhone 14 but with USB C, a slightly improved camera and a dedicated shortcut button.

DoorDash and Uber Eats have become way too expensive. I haven't used them in almost a year.

Got a bachelor's in criminal justice, but M.S. made me lose a couple of steps mentaly, and wasn't able to get my foot in the door with job coaching after a year, so we changed gears. Was working a phone job for the past 3 years, and since covid happened i made decent savings working from home. I loved it as it got me out my shell, and improved my socializing ten fold. Was cool with working it for a decade, but the job's contract ended last sept. Ran the numbers, and realize i don't have to work, so enjoying what i worked for while somewhat healthy.

You have enough money saved up to just live off of it without working? That sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

The second my ship travels to the required location, the enemy ships instantly spawn and instantly lock onto my ship. I have about 5-10 seconds to divert power to what's necessary before my ship explodes, and if I manage to survive, my ship explodes seconds later.

I accidentally shot a UC spacecraft but didn't get a bounty until after I grav jumped away from the situation. I can't continue any current missions as whenever I'm in UC controlled space, I can't land anywhere and I'm immediately shot upon until my spaceship explodes and the save reloads.

I can't land anywhere to find a kiosk to pay off my bounty because I'm "in combat". I can't pay off my bounty in space occupied by a different authority so using kiosk is pointless elsewhere.
