I loved SOMA. I typically shy away from the horror genre in general, and I legitimately can't remember why I decided to give it a shot, but I'm really glad I did. Easy 9/10 game.

And yeah, the ending is definitely the most memorable part of it to me. Though I kinda wish they hadn't copped out and had the post-credits sequence. Let that lesson truly sink in for Simon.

I keep watching clips of this game, and I love all the dialogue I've seen. But I have literally never played a game, video or tabletop, that implemented a 20-sided die system, and before seeing these clips, wasn't particularly interested in the genre.

How easy would it be for me to acquaint myself with the system if I wanted to try this game? Are there any skill paths or something that are easier to ignore the initiative system in combat? In theory, I don't like how much variance you can have in it.

Oopsy. Just came across the situation that with my Seele now tuned for speed, if I go down the Hunt resonance path that gives your highest-attack party member an immediate turn to become Celestial Arrow, that's now my Luocha. Which is..... not ideal.

My usual team of Bronya/Tingyun/Seele/Luocha is shockingly competent when I auto-battle. Bronya and Seele are the only ones that skill, apart from the rare Tingyun one. The worst thing that ever happens is Seele using her Ult on something with 12HP left.

But if I replace Tingyun with Fire TB or SW, they just decide to never let anyone else have any skill points, and Yukong is a bit too speed finicky to leave those decisions up to the AI.

I would kill for that. The only non-3* Harmony cone I have is the Carve the Moon one I had to get from the Battle Pass just so I didn't have only 3* fucking Harmony cones.

There are only two reasons I might be tempted over the course of the next 20 days.

  1. I'll eventually want to have her for future DoT shenanigans, because she'll only get better as more are released.
  2. ....... I want to run around as her on the overworld.

Yeah, something I've learned very recently is the power of having double 2-set loadouts. They're really not much worse than the full 4-set perks, and in some cases can be even better.

On that note, I think I'm actually going to skip this banner. I just don't care much for DoTs as a gameplay concept, and as such, I don't have anyone she's good with built at all. I'll just keep on saving up and hope Topaz and Jingliu are really good (who am I kidding, I'll be pulling for Topaz regardless).

I'll also try the 50/50 on Lunae, since I have Yukong/Luocha/Silver Wolf all properly set up already.

Her E1 is really good, but from what I'm reading, her Light Cone is even better for her, unless you fall under these two scenarios:

-You have a fully superimposed Good Night and Sleep Well
-You're willing to throw Before the Tutorial Mission Starts on her and have Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat to put on Luka or Sampo in her team.

She's a pretty handy support, but it's super reliant on her speed relative to your team, because she strictly buffs the next two characters to move. Therefore you want pretty tightly knit speed setups where your DPS is never moving right before Yukong does.

So you either build her really fast and put her first before your other support and the DPS, or you build her really slow, and have her move last after your defensive support has gone.
