Freya is okay, but she's a bit of wasted opportunity. She doesn't feel important enough to the game, but still more relevant than Quina, Amarant and Eiko.

Okay that Bahamut fight was awesome. Also nice to see Anabella get her karmic fate. I do wonder how though she would've treated Clive if she knew he were Ifrit's Dominant from birth.

Laguna didn't abandon his kid.

Either of them. Ellone was stowed away one a white SeeD ship, and couldn't find her. He didnt' even know he had another kid. Had Laguna known about Squall sooner, he probably would have taken him in and Squall wouldn't have a lot of the issues he has now. I can relate to Laguna pretty well because I had a kid I didn't know existed until she was ten years old. And I felt like a huge asshole for not being there for her earlier. I missed out on those years, and I can never get them back. Ellone clearly loved Laguna, enough to try to change the past. And Laguna clearly loves Ellone. It's not until Ellone tells him everything, he learns he had another kid. I mean the guy went on a rescue mission to save his step-daughter. Not exactly a thing a deadbeat dad would do.

Red is pretty cool, but I feel like he's underutilized in Final Fantasy VII. But what story he has is solid.

Mog is awesome enough to have his species become a mainstay in the series. Plus his dances are pretty cool. Though I feel like he doesn't get enough story focus to rate higher than this.

I like Torgal quite a bit. For a character that's a dog, he's got a lot of personality. I just can't give him higher than this, unfortunately.

Can't help but like Dagger. Not my favorite FF girl, but she has a strong story and hey she's a summoner. Which is always a plus.

Relm is okay. Her draw ability is pretty cool. And she's got a couple funny moments.

I like Serah quite a bit. Doesn't hurt that she's voiced by Laura Bailey.

Cidolfus Telamon rates 4th place. Probably because a lot of people haven't played FFXVI yet, but still pretty impressive.

Cid Pollendina rates 5th of all FFIV characters, just behind Golbez, and ahead of Edge.

T.G. Cid rates a little behind Agrias. He may be a powerhouse in the game, but that doesn't make him a clear favorite.

I haven't beaten FFXVI yet, but I feel comfortable rating Cidolfus. Seeing as he's already dead. I do wish he had stuck around a little longer, but he's a fantastic character for what little we have him.

Cid P is solid. Weak ability in battle, but c'mon. He becomes a living bomb and gives you a cool airship.

T.G. Cid has little importance to the story. A bit OP in battle, but like with many FFT characters, I find myself wishing he had more importance to the story. Still pretty cool, though.

Kuja is a decent villain, with a pretty great theme. He's kind of a mix between Golbez, Kefka and Sephiroth. But to me he always felt like just a guy. I don't think adding Necron helped either. It did nothing for his story. But I also don't think he'd have made a good final boss as is.

Edea... most of her best moments are Ultimecia and not her. Still, not a terrible character. Plus it was pretty cool to have her as a guest party member.

Rufus is pretty cool. He left a good first impression. Wish he had a bit more impact on the story, though.

FFXVI is pretty fantastic at least from what I've played. Early game spoilers:

I love how Clive treats the bearers, even before he becomes one. They could've easily went the route of Spoiled Rich kid becomes that which he mistreats, but instead they went the route of Clive being a standup guy from the beginning. His reaction to that Wolf Sidequest is excellent. I'm a bit further than that, but I've been sold on Clive since all of that.

I feel like Liam O'Brien would do a good Kuja

I like Clive a lot so far. I'm about half-ish way through the game. But I'll hold off on voting for him until I beat it.

Balthier does very well and makes the Top 20, and is the highest Ranked FFXII character at the moment.

Clive gives FFXVI a very good start, though with few votes (he does however make the cutoff of 10 votes to qualify, with 12 votes)

Trump is what you get when you put someone in charge who thinks they know a lot about politics, but actually knows very little about politics and isn't interested in learning what they don't know.

Tidus is a pretty great character, all things considered. And that ending always makes me cry.

Balthier is an okay character, but it's hard to love him when he comes from a game that's not that good.

I can't rate Clive yet. I'm in the process of beating FFXVI, but I'm getting there. Will give him a rating when I beat it.
