Arnold Schwarzenegger is speaking out about modern society, and why he doesn't want there to be a "generation of wimps" who aren't mentally resilient.

The action movie legend and former bodybuilder expressed his concerns while promoting his new self-help book.

"The human mind can only grow through resistance," Schwarzenegger said.

"The more you struggle, the further you're going to go and the stronger you're going to get," he continued.

"That's just the way the world works. Anyone who tries to baby themselves and pamper themselves, and try to protect themselves 'I don't want to feel bad. I don't want really want to go through any discomfort' it's over. You're never gonna get there," said the actor.

The 76-year-old star said that he feels people need to be more accepting of discomfort, and work on resilience.

"You have to learn to accept pain, misery, and discomfort all of the things that you don't like," he said. "Because the more you experience the things you really don't like, the more you can grow, and the tougher you get, and the more you can handle."

"So many young kids today kind of shy away from that," Schwarzenegger added.

The former governor of California went on to reflect on the generation of people who he believes made the United States what it is today.

"These were ballsy women and men that went out there at five in the morning and went out there and struggled and fought and they worked their butts off," he said. "That's what made this country great."

"Let's continue this way," Schwarzenegger went on. "Don't start creating a generation of wimps and weak people. Where we're concerned about, 'How are you feeling today? I don't want to hurt your feelings.'"

"It's nice to be considerate. Yes, I totally agree with that," he added. "But let's not over-baby the kids, let's not over-baby people. Let's go and teach kids to be tough, to go out and do sports, to go and study, to struggle, and to go through these kind of painful moments sometimes."

Halle Berry was reportedly misled about the scope of her role within 2006s X-Men: The Last Stand, according to director Matthew Vaughn.

The 57-year-old actress brought the weather-controlling mutant Storm to life in four movies with the X-Men franchise, starting in 2000 and ending with 2014s Days of Future Past.

The Last Stand was directed by Brett Ratner after Matthew dropped out of the role. During a recent appearance, he opened up about his decision to give up the job.

While attending New York Comic Con over the weekend, Matthew recounted a story about how an executive was trying to lie to Halle to entice her to return for the movie.

One of the main reasons I quit X-Men 3, and this is a true story. Hollywood is really political and odd, he recalled, according to ScreenRant I went to an executives office and I saw an X3 script. It was a lot fatter. I asked, What is this draft? They were like, Dont worry about it.

Matthew said that he grabbed it and opened the first page where he noticed something was wrong.

It said, Africa. Kids dying from no water, and Storm creates a thunderstorm to save all these children. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. I said, What is this? They said, This is the Halle Berry script because she hasnt signed on yet. This is what she wants it to be. And once she signs on, well throw it in the bin. I thought, if youre going to do that to an Oscar-winning actress who plays Storm, I quit. I thought Im mincemeat, he explained.

Depp fans paid the court fees for the release of documents from Heards therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes. The raw notes, scribbled on a legal pad, were part of last years high-profile trial in which Depp largely prevailed. They describe a hostile Aquaman set where an allegedly intoxicated Jason Momoa dressed like Depp and pushed to have Heard booted from the role of aquatic superhero Mera.

Jason said he wanted me fired, the notes say. Jason drunk late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings too.

A rep for Momoa declined comment, but a DC spokesperson pushed back on Heards characterization, saying, Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Others echoed that sentiment. Jason works his ass off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesnt show up drunk to set, says an insider who was on the London set in 2021, adding that the two stars got along and were seen joking together.

Momoa wasnt the only Aquaman principal to land in the crosshairs. The therapy session also painted a picture of Heard feeling unsupported by the films director, James Wan, and treated like a pariah because of her high-profile legal battle with her ex-husband.

He raised his voice @ me I cant even post about Aquaman made it like it was my fault I said Im sorry, say Hughes notes in reference to Wan. Nobody could take selfies with me on set given blackout.

Wan declined comment. The DC spokesperson says, James is known for treating members of his cast and crew with the utmost respect and for fostering a positive, collaborative environment on set the Aquaman films were no exception.

And yet Heard was nearly fired, sources on both sides tell Variety. Following Aquamans release in 2018, the studio and Wan decided to drop the actress from the sequel due to her lack of chemistry with Momoa and sent a letter to her attorney, Karl Austen, informing him of its decision. (Former DC Films boss Walter Hamada testified in the defamation trial about the issue of chemistry.) Those sources underscore that the move to bounce Heard was unrelated to Depp and took place before he filed suit against the actress in 2019.

Ultimately, the studio never pulled the trigger on firing Heard because her former boyfriend, Elon Musk, had one of his litigators send a scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down if the actress wasnt brought back for a sequel, says a source familiar with the behind-the-scenes battle. Warner Bros. caved and moved forward with Heard. (Musk did not respond to a request for comment.)
