Yeah I forgot to mention this one, this movie was good.

They used it to make the action sequences feel more impactful so it wasn't used throughout like Wish looks to be using. I think Godzilla Planet of Monsters was the first I've seen cg deliberately run at lower frames, but that was to mimic anime framerate.

It looks wrong in Wish, there's nothing that suggests it's going for a claymation or motion graphic look, it literally looks like a Pixar movie with cut frames, nothing is gained from it. Puss in Boots last wish used it for more graphic action sequences to great effect so it has its place.

That staircase fight in NG2, that was neutered to a few enemies in Sigma 2. Apparently it runs fine on Xbox SX.

Some of those games like Ghouls n Ghosts (Ghosts n Goblins?) relied on that slowdown to get through some of the more challenging areas. Of course with patches they became much harder lol.
