Worked from home for ~2 years then again for the last 3 years. I like working from the office if it's easy to get to plus reasonably priced lunch+coffee else it's work from home for me.

Yeah, I understood the point being made but I guess we'd just have a discussion about the definition of benefit because for me you need to have a lasting advantage for something to be a benefit.

ie a dime would not outweigh the cost of therapy and medical care so would not being a benefit
slavery has unmeasurable costs that would outweight the "benefit" of "learning skills"

but outside of the argument of the definition of benefit i think we all agree anyway

Oh this comment reminded me your windows might complain about license key if you're replaced the motherboard if you have an OEM version of Windows, maybe something to keep in mind if someone didn't bring it up already. It's weird sometimes depending on what part you replace.

Nice one anyway, hopefully the repaired unit is good.

It's a good thing you had all the spare parts handy, this is why I always keep one psu and graphics card handy.

I got 9.3 hours in and gave it a break for about a week cause it started getting a tiny bit tedious, but when I came back I completely forgot what I was working towards and what I was doing. Real shame, because I was having a lot of fun.

Well, I'm back home now. Eight days is not nearly enough but it was the only possible time frame for a bachelor's party with six guys. I'll be coming back for 2+ weeks next year though with my fiance so hopefully I wouldn't be rushing around so much. I did browse a few second hand Vita's but didn't end up grabbing any and opted to buy a ROG Ally back in Aus.

Actually that's an interesting question now that I think about it. Heaps of DOS games ran on CPU clock speed, does DOSbox and ScummVM emulate to the fastest possible version or some developer intended version? I looked it up for like 2 minutes and couldn't find the answer right away. Probably depends game to game ig but at least with those DOSbox and ScummVM everyone's on the same playing field.

yeah! I was gonna replay it anyway so decided to check out what the speedruns were like since I know the 1st game (1st act) is pretty quick. Wonder how the other classics go though I'm sure they're a lot more competitive.

Give it a go! If you watch(ed) the run I think you'll see there's not much in it (in terms of wacky technical tricks) and I have a tonne of mistakes that need to be cleaned up. Competitive runs could be there for the taking.
