Everyone seems to have different turning points for when the show became bad, some say red wedding, some say when they ran out of material, some say from season 8, some even say from the very beginning there's no consistency to the agreed upon worst state of the showPersonally I thought season 4 was still good tv but there were changes in season 4 that spelled doom for the rest of the show. I think it's a somewhat commonly accepted theory though that DnD really cared about getting the red wedding scene on tv and after that didn't care as much anymore. I think they may have even said in an interview that that was their favorite scene and one of their biggest goals in making the show, but I'm not 100% sure. Also after season 4 is when they started making dumb changes to characters to please casual watchers and their wives. |
