in my experience most people in those discords haven't posted on CE in years and don't consider themselves CE/Gfaqs offshoots, they just sorta met on CE initially and the connections continued to grow off-site.

've had discussions with both of them and I can tell you, Cyric is not a gunplagirl alt account. They both have very distinct way of posting. Cyric is more likely to post things in good faith vs gunplagirl, especially about Hogwarts Legacy.

for me personally it was that she kept lingering in a hangout topic that was mainly about books/music and trying to make it about her depression or whatever, then throwing tantrums when people wouldn't respond to it. this was literally a decade ago so it's kinda silly to bring up, but i feel like it helps illustrate the point that she's always been someone who wants to be the center of attention and lashes out in a disproportionate manner when that's denied or when she's disagreed with.

As an OoT superfan (I think I must have beat it over half a dozen times growing up), i went back to it after I played through BoTW and found myself getting extremely bored. Made it as far as the 2nd dungeon and then called it quits.

OoT has a slow start. Dungeons 2 and 3 in particular are just...MEHHH.
I'd replay it 5 times more often if I could start a new file at the beginning of the Adult Link portion.

Generations Ultimate is my favorite MH game of all time, and I think it's still very much worth playing if you have people to play with. It's like a "best of" the entire series up until that point, and has an ungodly amount of s*** to experience

I think it works similarly to height. If you're average it doesn't come up, if you're above average you get a little boost, but if you're below average it's a huge blow. And a lot of the reassurance seems to mainly apply towards average dudes wishing they were above average, rather than below average dudes wishing they could be at least average.

i guess the crux of my argument is the first game was much more poignant and thought-provoking when we weren't given any details on what ends up happening after the ending

in a way it wouldn't have even mattered if the sequel had been as good or not as controversial, its very existence dilutes the impact of the first game and it's up to you whether that was worth getting part 2
