Looking over both albums again, I think I prefer MoP more. I don't particularly care for Fight Fire with Fire and Escape, whereas there isn't a single song on the other album that invoke that same apathy.

There are a few episodes that tie in with characters or events that took place in the original series, but on the whole, I dont necessarily think they are required viewing

To be honest, I only really came across basic enemies and one fight which I assume would be considered a miniboss. They were... fine. Dodging felt fluid, but it didn't really grab me.

I tried it a bit. The introduction sequence, while I don't think it was as long as I thought, felt really long. My main problem from the short bit I play is the main character suffers from a lack of no in the writers room. He just won't shut the fuck up.

I didn't like how the optimal way to play the game was to have your digimons evolutions out of sync.

Edit: actually tbh, I didn't like have 2 digimon period.

Literally any of the Kalos Pokemon. Its a travesty that the only Gen 6 pokemon, the gen that introduced mega-evolution, that got a mega-evolution was Event Only.

Honestly I'm fine with this because it makes battling in each gen feel different and prevents the mechanics from becoming bloated.

Imagine how cumbersome team-building in Scarlet/Violet would be if you had to account for Megas, Z-Moves, Dynamax, AND Terastallization at the same time.

My problem is that I didn't like Z-moves as much as Mega Evolution, Dynamax felt like a retread, and I hate the terrible art design of Terastallization.

TBH best case scenario for me would be to go back to Megas, and maaaaybe keep Z moves (but if they were gone, I'd be fine with it). But thats never gonna happen, so I'll have to be content with complaining about it every new gen like a salty bitch.

I think the only way it would come back would be if by some chance way in the future they end up remaking X and Y. Otherwise, Gamefreak seems to rather come up with a new gimmick every time to revolve the game plot around.

Mega Mawile for me.

i wish they wouldve continued to expand on mega evolutions. It was my favorite of the new mechanics post gen 5, and every single gen gimmick past that I hated more and more. Fucking Terastallize is a design abomination.
