You can also argue that the sex is not as good with new partners. You maybe get excited about the new partner, but the sex itself is often not that good. I have done much crazier things with partners when it gets beyond the 10th time or even the 100th time.

The last jedi was so bad it made me never want to watch anything star wars again. I still haven't seen the one that came after it.

Revenge of the sith wasn't good either , most people just saw it because they felt an obligation for closure. I remember zoning out several parts in that movie and I saw it in theaters.
