This person milled the continuous spell, one of the traps, and Reinohart. Only reason i avoided mermaid communism is because I had a Bystial in hand and didnt archetype-lock myself yet.

Just got my first win against Tears with Abyss Actors. Granted they semi-bricked (but does it really count as bricking when they have Havnis in hand?), but a win's a win.

Yeah, Runick's getting a little too bold now that the shufflers are limited and people are replacing their Crows with Pizzahut.

Still too many Tears in Platinum lol.

I'm getting better with Abyss Actors, but still feel a little too reliant on the bread-and-butter Extras/Curtain Raiser combo. I'm running a going-second build right now, but should maybe consider going first just to get Dweller on board since half the games are Tears and Branded. (This would require me to find a combo that doesn't archetype lock me before getting two Lv4s on board though)

If I get too salty I'll just bring out Exosister grave stun to cheese the ranks until I get the gems.

The plan, as far as it can be called a plan, is to make Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon (untargetable by effects or attacks, can attack opponent directly) and pray my opponent can't out it. Forbidden Kleptomaniac has been added for protection. Anti-Magic Arrows to turn off battle traps, or if I'm going second against Set-5 Pass. Shitty Towers Turbo, essentially.

The Speedroid cards are there specifically to make Crystal Wing. Becuase Windwitch locks me into Synchros.

In 15 games I have not seen my Super Poly once. I swear Konami's shuffler algorithm is gaslighting me to make me craft a third >_>

Maxx C'd Cartesia. They decided to yolo into Albion. Then I Crow'd Albaz. Hand traps too stronk how do I complete missions <_<

The loaner decks are horribly optimized and filled with cards that people don't actually play. >_>

But for getting your cards popped by your opponent, you're supposed to get Super Producer (the new Link 2) on the field, who can activate the field spell as a quick effect.

So your opponent activates a monster effect you dont like, you chain producer, then when their effect resolves it changes to "destroy one set card your opponent controls".

But yes the deck is quite silly and I wouldve never figured it out if I didn't specifically look up combos and write-ups for it lmao

Did the Duel Trial. Ritual Dogmatika is a funny deck. Springans is kind of annoying.

Pack gave me nothing but I enjoyed the duels.

Three, technically, counting the Duel Trial, but yeah. They did this during one of the previous events too. New event + rerun of old event. (Last time they re-ran the Xyz event. Curiously I think I remember Fusion coming before Synchro. If my memory isn't faulty it's pretty funny that they're deliberately skipping a Fusion Fest rerun while Tear is still close to full power)

Did some more digging, Mo Ye is limited in the Synchro event, so Swordsoul isn't going to be everpresent. And Kairyushin is banned.

Seems like Konami really does care about trying to keep these casual events fun.

Oh! New events are open for registration! Both hit a lot of burn/stun cards so that'll be good. The Legend Anthology hit Maxx C so we're cooking good!

Abyss Actors is full power so I'll probably run them, they're fun. But I'll try other decks as I can make more sense of the banlist.

Synchro Fest banned Speeder and Librarian again RIP. Gonna break out Speedroids and Ghoti for this.

Dual Trial rental decks are Dogmatika, Springans, and Abyss Actors.

My last 1000 gems got me the Abyss Actors I needed, though I still needed to craft 2 Super Producers since I didn't pull any from the secret pack.

Practicing the basic plays in Solo before taking them to ranked.They're a lot of fun. I love PendMages and Odd-Eyes, but it feels great to actually use my pendulum summoned monsters for more than just material fodder for generic boss monsters.

Extras is a one-card full board combo, which is just fucking nuts and something that other Pendulum decks desperately need.

Also, Mellow Madonna makes me feel a certain kind of way >_>

Dropped 6k on the pack and the highlights of my pulls were Garurua, Sprind, Magnamhut, and a playset of Lubellion.

Debating on dismantling my Lubellions. On one hand, they're a search for the other Bystials. On the other hand, I don't play Branded and idk how useful that search would actually be if I just want to use Magna and Dru as handtraps/extenders.

Pulled a bit from the Abyss Actors pack. Didn't get much. I've got 500 UR right now so I can definitely afford to craft the missing cards. But now that I have that much UR dust I'm feeling kind of miserly <_<

Next Duel Trial is going to use rental decks from the next pack. Seems like a fun tradition if they do this frequently. I enjoyed playing with G Golems and Crystal Beasts last time.

Details on the third one are also out. We're going to be forced to use certain "loaner cards" but can use pretty much anything else to build around them. The loaner cards are all going to be gambling focused. Should be neat. >_>

Look for the colon or semi-colon. In PSCT colons specify timing/conditions for activation, and semi-colons specify cost. If there's neither, then it doesn't activate.

Compare something like Mathmech Circular to Crusadia Arboria.

But if you're looking for specific text, phrases like "you can special summon this card" and "must (first) be special summoned", etc are usually what you see

Still dont have a high enough IQ to work its combos. Between the Spright side's level lock and the Tri side's type lock, it sort of feels like I'm playing 2 decks mashed together.

But it is really fun when you can set up Elf+Red+Carrot+Smashers+Revolt.

The Duel Trial was far less degenerate than I expected. Almost makes me feel guilty for running Umi Stun as my going first deck. >_>

My going second deck was Sky Striker. God bless that dedicated Synchron player who didnt scoop after I negated Speeder. <_<

I feel like they'd still be worth running in that case. Magnamhut tutors any dragon during the endphase, and can be summoned on your opponents turn

It might be. I'm not very familiar with Yang Zings so this is my first time seeing that line lol. Most SwSo builds I've seen only run the synchros and stick to the Tenyis for main deck combos. Last time I saw a YangZing on the ladder was months and months ago, and I think it was a Zefra build that preferred negate spam.

Replay on Duel Live had a Yang Zing/Swordsoul player go into the Blackwing Tower. Thought it was prettt cool. >_>

More try-out duels are coming!

First one is going to be picking two decks, and which one you use will depend on if you're going first or second. Interestingly, it says we'll have to "build" these decks as opposed to the last tryout duels which were all rental-based. Hope the banlist is extremely strict otherwise it's just going to be the FTK Festival >_>

No-lifed Duel Links yesterday to grab Kitedrake. Have two decks, one Speedroids and one Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon OTK. Can finally take a break and get back to Master Duel. >_>

Dusted off Pend Mages after maining Exosisters for the event. Still got the combos down. Was able to make 2 mat Appolousa, Baronne, Savage, Vortex, Timestar, and both Pendulumgraph cards. (In retrospect I should have traded one of those omnis for a Dweller just in case. Ah well.)

Have 10k gems saved up and 300 UR mats. Part of my brain says "build Tears!" but the other part says "pendulum support in 10 days!"

Tbh the TCG always struck me as the "no fun allowed" format compared to the ocg. Saw someone in the comments mention that they were likely hit because they're much cheaper than Kash. Wonder how close to the truth they were. >_>

Saw in the app store that Duel Links was promoting Yuya and Odd-Eyes so...for the first time since...uh...the Gem Knights box I downloaded the game. >_>

Bought two of the new Odd-Eyes structure and pumped the rest of my gems into the Clear Wing box, was lucky enough to get all the relevant URs.

...I don't intend to actually spend any money in Duel Links. But it'll be a nice little distraction while Master Duel has downtime. (Like right now lol). My one goal is get as many of the Odd-Eyes/Performapals/Magician pendulums as possible, so I'll be grinding away for a long while it looks like >_>

Finally managed to get my Master Duel account working on Android. The data transfer refused to work because the app crashed every time it tabbed out to go to the Konami login. (So I would log in, it would say it was successful, but then the app would restart with no memory of the login info)

Turns out I had to activate the phone's developer mode, use a secret option to force all apps to enable screen resizing/picture in picture, open Master Duel, resize it to half screen. And then it would open the konami login in a seperate small window, allowing me to complete the data transfer without the app closing.

Whyyyyyyyy was it this complicateeeed

Just had my level 19 rank up game against the brickiest Numeron player. Or at least I assume they were Numeron. I ashed Planet Pathfinder and they played pretty much nothing else besides staples.

Thing that won me the game, of all things, was Code Virus Swordsman or whatever. The link 2 I put in my deck after getting Bagooska'd three times in one day. Didn't see a single Bagooska after I added it, but it did help me kill this opponent before they drew anything. >_>

That nopenguin ruling is messing with my head. But I guess it's like...

it has already left the field to return to the hand, and in that weird limbo period its protection is no longer active, and that's when the redirect takes place. Sort of like the weird way Konami tries to justify Pendulum cards getting banished by Macro even though they're supposed to go to the extra deck instead of the graveyard.

PUNK player has 100 lp left. They normal summon Maxx C. Decide to be courteous and allow them a suicide attack.

They activate Spright Blue from the hand. ._.

Though it did lead to a really fun 6-link chain.

I'm determined to make this work in my adamancipator deck. Just wish Baronne de Fleur didnt exist......But could someone tell me this how it's effect interacts with cards like Dimensional shifter?

I know that Imperial Iron Wall overrides banishing floodgates like D Fissure and Macro, so I assume Gymir would fall under a similar ruling.

Had a rough losing streak at level 18 that knocked me right back down to 17. (not that I care about level as long as I clear these missions, but still lol) But I'm ending the night with a win. Completely shut down a tear deck by being able to go into Asophiel (the in-archetype Dweller) instead of Kapsitell for my main combo.

Have had surprisingly good luck against Tear come to think of it. Shut one down the other day by Ashing Terraforming. Must've bricked hella hard >_>

So I finally have a good 12 stack of URs to play with. Was thinking about making Dinos. I know they arent super meta but are they Atleast fun? When I look at guides its just kill the baby over and over again.

I played with Dinos a little bit irl when the structure deck first released. I'm sure the gameplan has evolved (heh) significantly since then, but the core of Oviraptor, Miscellaneousaurus, infanticide, and Super Fuck You Tyrannosaurus was pretty fun.

Managed to get to level 18. Rankup game was against some unholy Gravekeeper/Boarder stun shenanigans. They even opened Royal Tribute so I had to start my turn with no monsters in hand.

...luckily I top-decked Martha. >_>

Also ran into somebody named "hate ", (Tearlaments in Korean). Fun to know the hatred of this deck knows no borders lol
