I guess.

Hell I've strained my ribs before from coughing.

My pain is coming from very low in the stomach, on the front. Though I did have a sort of vibrating sensation this morning in the sternum after a particularly heavy coughing fit. Was very weird. Didnt hurt (the vibration between the coughing fit, the coughing sure did). I was afraid Id cracked something, but that spot feels fine

could be a hernia maybe

probably worth a trip to urgent care at least or maybe make an appointment with a PCP

If it persists in the morning, Ill go in. Laying down or sitting seems to stop it, so Im hoping its just the abdominal wall. Wouldnt a hernia have a protrusion?

So, few days ago I came down with some kind of virus. Started off with the usual fever, chills, etc. I have plenty of sick time saved up for work so I take my time and just rest. Yesterday, it got a bit more complicated. I developed a cough. Okay, sure. Sucks, but it got kinda heavy. Especially when Id lay down. Sleep has been difficult moreso from the cough, and it seems pretty resilient to whatever Im taking.

However, something changed tonight. Throughout the day, Ive had some pretty violent bouts. I try to control it by tensing and not letting it go too far, as Ive come close to fainting from the force. It SUCKS. Ive never had a cough this bad. Its not super persistent when Im up and not laying down, but when it happens, yikes.

Anyway, tonight my lower stomach began to hurt. It feels very sore, like extreme constipation or a stomach ache would. However, not when Im sitting down. Only standing. Im wondering if the strain of coughing has somehow pulled or over strained the stomach. Ive never had this happen before, and Im a bit nervous. I really dont wanna go to the ER unless absolutely necessary, as those tests add up FAST. Especially if they do any imaging, even with insurance. Its ridiculous what I paid just to have my dislocated shoulder reset, so I dread what an ultrasound or whatever would cost.

Has this happened to anybody? Is this a thing? Google seems to think so. If it happened to you, what did you do?

Ki isn't intrinsically linked to an state of mind or belief or a gift from another entity. So it doesn't really make sense to take it away.

Sure, but ki is typically referred to as a form of energy that resides in all living things. Could a sentient undead creature still tap into that?

What happens to the monks ki powers in the transition to undeath? Would they simply lose them? Would they repurpose the negative energy animating their bodies to function in a similar way?

I had thought on this recently while reading on fallen clerics and paladins. I dont think Ive ever seen any official comment on the undead monks connection to ki (which is supposed to be life energy).

Whats your interpretation?

Where are you trying to redeem it, on the PS3 itself or a PC? That might be causing the error since I don't think the store works anymore on PS3.

Everywhere. The PS3, my phone, the game application redeem content tab. All of them have the same result

Additional note. I tried a PAL version code from a Google image as well to see how PSN handles it, and it fails immediately. I never even make it to the license screen. So if the NTSC one is expired, Im thinking it would just straight up fail. Im leaning on the code I bought was simply already used.

IIRC the PC version of DS2 gave away all the DLC for free because they were removing it from the store. Check to see if the PS3 version did that too.

Looks like you still can. Though this voucher in question had a very specific costume that was bundled into its online pass. It was unlocked when that was redeemed. It was never sold outside of that. Doesnt even show up on PSN, though the other content does.

My biggest gripe is that PSN cant simply tell me whether or not the code is expired or already redeemed. Thats really important information to have. Cuz now, Im not sure what to do. I could keep hunting for a pristine version of the collectors edition (which is extremely rare in 2023), but if its EXPIRED, Id be wasting money.

Kinda stuck here. Its kind of a hobby to collect old dlc like these. I dont need it, of course. Just would like some closure as to whether or not this particular item is even redeemable. Google lists the last confirmed redemption of one of these codes about 3 years ago. This voucher has no expiration date printed that I can find.

Im assuming this is simply used, as PSN does acknowledge it when the code is entered. The seller kinda described it as mostly new, which I thought was a bit risky as far as the code being good. He said it was probably good cuz the game was still wrapped inside the CE box, and he didnt want much for it so I thought, fuck it. Id really like to somehow confirm. I used a Google image voucher code after just to see what PSN would do and I got the same screen. Which I figured, but again. I cant confirm whether its used or expired

Anybody have experience with this? I bought a Dead Space 2 collectors edition from eBay, specifically for some old exclusive digital content that was never released for purchase outside of a special voucher that came with this version. Its from 2011, so I suspected it might be expired or already redeemed, but the seller wasnt asking much and I thought Id just take a gamble.

Well, its weird. The ps3 takes the code, brings me to the confirmation screen which shows me what it is, license stuff, etc. I can then cancel or confirm. Whats weird is that when I confirm that I do wanna redeem it, it says:

the code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid. Please check your entry

Now, if it said that up front, Id just assume it was already redeemed or expired. But it does take the code and bring me to a confirmation screen like nothing is wrong first. Is this some kind of glitch? Theres no expiration date printed on this voucher, and other invalid codes of used failed immediately. Its like it tries to redeem here, but gives me this generic notification instead when I actually click confirm.

So, been playing the remake and loving it. Got me wanting to replay 2 & 3 as well. I still got my PS3. Problem is that funding the wallet and navigating the online store is a living hell. Ive gotten it to work at times, but its clearly not maintained whatsoever.

Did they ever release ultimate editions of these titles back in the day that just had all the dlc on disc so I can bypass that hell? Preferably not with dlc vouchers that probably wont even work

The Shape being a metaphysical/paranormal entity that can potentially possess people or is run down through a curse or ritual has been, by far, the weakest hinted at lore in the entire franchise and I absolutely hate they canonized it.

Michael gets overpowered and beaten because he's old, injured and weak and the Shape knows it doesn't have too much longer in that vessel. It's lame.

You talking about that cult timeline? I hated that. But hes been hyped as evil incarnate since the first movie in 78, and Loomis in the sequels often said he wasnt a man

I think it was. Specifically in the criticism of Michael vastly underperforming against Corey in the infamous mask scene.

Key takeaway in nearly every YouTube comment I see (some leaked clips are still up as of today, including the mask scene) is that it made no sense. Myers got nerfed. It was stupid.

Yeah, I dont necessarily enjoy seeing a horror icon being overpowered by a teenager. Especially after Halloween Kills and the legendary beat down he got (and then dished out). But I think it does make sense. The chief criticism Ive seen is that the reason it doesnt is that Michael is the shape. He IS evil in human form. He gets stronger the more he kills. This is all well established in the franchise. I dont think anybody disagrees. So he should be extremely powerful after the end of Kills, right?

Heres what I never see anybody bring up, though. His age. I think the movie is showing us in this send off is that Michael, Shape of evil or not, is ultimately mortal. Just like as you get older, your cells get less and less efficient at doing anything. You gain weight easy. Heal more slowly. Get sick more often. Muscles shrink, maladies build up over years. I think the evil that sustains Michael is simply unable to fully manifest in him the way it did in Kills. I think Kills was his last hurrah. He fed off the fear of that whole town. But Mikey did take one hell of a beating, and while he was able to turn it back around, I think it took a long term toll.

I think Corey represents the idea of the evil taking a new shape. Even if its not meant to be Corey himself, its telling us that Michael wont live forever. Supernatural or not, he is a man. He has a body, and that body is old. Very old. I think he was in that sewer to recover, but just never fully did. Loomis said in past films that Michael would just sit or stand in place for days. Basically hibernate.

I think he lost to Corey in the mask struggle for the simple reason that he aged out. I think thats how Laurie finally got him in the end, too. I dont think its a plot hole or a nerf. It actually makes sense and I think a lot of critics are just overthinking it. Im not saying I loved the film, Im just saying that I think it makes more sense than people are saying.

As for why he tolerated Corey, the running theory seems to be survival. He simply needed help killing. Getting his strength back. But, aged and crippled as he was, he was never able to fully realize the power. In the end, he killed Corey too after he was betrayed. Cuz why not, lol.

I faked it once, but I had a condom on so I could half sell it. I think she might have suspected because she hated me the next day and onwards
