The only thing about Mayhem mode is you have to kill like 20 people before it triggers. Most mercs teams are five or less. And if you just give it to him from the rip than you're making him an arcade version. But I guess he has to have it to be at all viable.

It charges over time, killing just gives a boost to speed.

With no kills, I think it takes about a minute for 1 stock of it, so he's pretty set in terrains where you're not instantly on the other team.

Pod was absolutely my main source of damage for 2B, Bomb program is busted vs melee damage.

Just for fun and reference to Raiden again, but he likewise lifts and swings a MG Ray and Excelsus that way outweigh that, from a worse leverage point, then proceeds to be weak in hand to hand immediately after. Anime deadlifts dont well translate to punching/slashing power.

I don't get what Excelsus does to make it anywhere close to Grun, it's less than 1/10th the size (Grun is over 1000 meters tall) and has worse defenses (just the standard carbon nanotube plating) vs Grun's insanely thick armor even for it's size + emp barrier. Like that whole thing has better defenses than Armstrong.

Like...she has no plot hype. Literally zero. We have instances of her failing at taking out dudes you would absolutely take, say, Raiden to manhandle.

To be fair, that's a fresh 2B that's not equipped at all, and the flight unit's not that huge an upgrade on firepower vs a pod laser program. And on a direct comparison with Raiden, we know even if Raiden could fight Ray/Excelsius, he likewise got thoroughly no-showed by Armstrong's nanomachines, so it's not any kind of guarantee he'd be manhandling an Engels.

Getting shot in the shoulder and not flinching is a Yakuza staple too. You don't even need to be Kiryu to do it, that's like 2 upkeep or lower territory!

And this one's mainly taking the piss, but on the Lincoln memorial video, my first thought is that it's marginally a better showing than what OoT Link can do with the golden gauntlets.

I think strength and feats for Guilty Gear plot are pretty inconsistent, like example one here is as late as Xrd Sign's story mode and is a guy with a revolver almost kills Ky (has him bleeding out on the floor in 2-3 shots).

If not for the whole gear eye thing, Ky would've died here. And this is one of the "all about planning, mysterious masked councilman" kind of guy who knows every major player thoroughly, and thinks coming by himself with a revolver and shooting from the front 5 yards away is a done deal (and is allmost right). Sol doesn't even have full access to the one thing that saves Ky from this, the gear healing factor. And Ky likewise had tons of the same "fought x number of megadeth class gears etc etc" feats under his belt even before gear powers.

Sol has the extra can of worms of 95% of the plot he'll say he's holding back, and another 4% are treated as impossible hail maries instead of casual lifting of his limiters showing what he's consistently capable of.

Heavily leaning Team Batman because it's close to a 5v1v2. Zagreus has practically killed himself taking the Guan Yu spear, which passively lowers his max health by 50% to 70% depending on upgrade level. Combined with V's relic reducing max health by 50% and draining it, he might legit drop dead from time passing, and even his death defiances will be worse off since they restore him to half of his max hp (which is being double reduced, so at best he's going to 12.5% of his normal HP instead of 50%, possibly lower if weapons aren't full upgraded).

Thunder to decloak Zeratul is reliant on a ~3 second debuff being used in a 3 second window multiple minutes into the fight without him already knowing Zeratul is there at all. If he throws it out randomly, he just wastes it while Zeratul is already out of sight on nothing in particular, I think he'd rather save it for a big enemy encounter.

Team Cloud

Raiden's the best on the field, and Mario's good for the lightning bolt but it doesn't let Raiden take out more than 2 big combatants.

A ton of encounters in Rising are from enemies uncloaking in Raiden's face, so his ability to detect even just visibly cloaked enemies isn't amazing unless they're right up next to him. So Zeratul's got a pretty free kill if choosing anyone else and Pamela looks and fills the slot of squishy mage while Gordon's got guns, so I'd assume those 2 stand out as easy priority targets.

Everyone on Cloud's team could kill Mario or Pamela by themselves when they're available to, Gordon only really stands a chance to kill Vivi, Raiden can't really hold out against Cloud + Bahamut + Zeratul + Ridley, with potential backup from Vivi/Maria if they're alive.

Marle has a better revive than Crono's and it can't stop a party member's cutscene death, and likewise multiple people have Recarms in the Persona 3 cast and can't stop a party member's cutscene death.

I'd put both at sub-Golden Sun healing magic, because that one at least has a feat of instant-fixing broken bones in cutscene. Eunie herself is also almost definitely the best healer because XB healing can get nuts, but can't heal if dead.

Also a point against Eunie surviving the Giant Punch: Fullmetal Jaguar is specifically a DPS class that's made of paper because it's meant to dodge during animations, stay away with range, and reduce aggro, so being forced to eat a 250% bigger/stronger/faster DK punch without any evading or oroboros is... rough.

One silly thing I thought of is Mewtwo being psychic type means he takes half damage from fighting moves, which suplex has to be. So he'd be less stunned by it than usual, could get to teleporting faster.

FF Regen in 5-7 at least is based on a percentage of the target's hp/stamina per tic, so being on a Revengeance era Ray is pretty good. If they were mass produced Arsenal Gear ones they'd be more of a joke.

Link and Alucard

Dont really see all that much so impressive for Joshua or Estelle that given the chance, Link or Alucard couldnt likewise do. BotW Link was beating the strongest knights in his realm when he was 6 and able to take on dozens of laser-shooting spider mechs, has bullet time for crazy dodging + aiming of ancient arrows, Daruks Protection for instant deflect/reflects a couple times, etc.

And Alucard dwarves the rest on whatd be raw stats, along with his own bag of tricks. Turning into poison mist, shield rod, soul steal aoe, Criss attack speed, familiars, etc.

Team Mario

He can grow huge too, and has experience fighting and beating both DK and Bowser while they're unnaturally giant (even without also being huge). Toss in Sonic, Pamela, and a big terrain that doesn't let DK/Bowser just exploit being huge and physically strong, can't see him losing.

May as well, Team K. Rool.

Other team doesn't have a chance to make much distance for Leon+Claude flying range shenanigans before being shot down by BJ.

Just playing devil's advocate since I'm leaning hard towards BJ+K.Rool despite this, but I'd have thought Zagreus's favored limb would be one of his legs. He's all about mobility with his dashes with tons of upgrades centered on it (and more dashes being one of the strongest upgrades), his feet constantly being on fire is one of his most defining physical characteristics (besides the dark side of his face), and he's so used to constantly moving that he will 99.9% of the time you play Hades refuse to sit in any interactable chair or his own bed.

As a fun fact with dismemberment and Eunie, their Ouroboros forms can specifically regenerate dismembered limbs and also swap to their other form that will retain none of the damage the other had done to them. So if Raiden did manage to cut a limb off, he could be taken pretty off guard by them suddenly turning into a completely different form with all limbs intact that makes explosive shadow clones, then back to sniper put back together.

Team Eunie, Pamela is put down incredibly fast with the kind of people she's surrounded by, Trevor in particular demolishes regen and the undead.

I think Aigis is a better gunner and support than Gordon, and the whole team has a ton of quality range. Mostly comes down to Eunie for the big carry, but given how she gets the upper hand against Mobius D (shows personality-wise being able to plan well and fight long-distance against a stronger enemy) and survives multiple N fights (practically Raiden but significantly faster movement), I think she'd arrange to buff her crew and firing squad the two enemies left, with loads of healing so that they win any war of attrition.

The Taion Ouroboros is practically made for crowd control/keepaway too. Flies, debuffs, can make dozens of body doubles, tons of AoE attacks with properties to knock enemies down and evade attacks while doing them, dozens of explosive funnels, etc. If you can't teleport or simply tank through explosions, it's not a fun matchup for melee.

Can Eunie swap Ouroboros forms? It sounds like Taion's only there so she can interlink to her Ouroboros form, but his Ouroboros form is under his control.

Samus in Dread has X-Ray visor, Echo visor lets her see sounds, and Dark visor lets her see things that are in interdimensional flux.

She's impressive in Other M and Dread even without her blaster arm, she can parry Raven Beak with that hand. Course, BJ also is shooting people in a cable car or climbing and Megaman still can't solo vs the two of them if he teleports in.
