Every day I struggle with not chasing my dream of becoming a pro gamer. I let what my parents and society think of gaming as being a waste of time keep me from going all in when I was a teen. Now i'm 31 and pine about what could've been when I tune in to various esports tourneys and see people make careers out of it. I don't have a family of my own or anything so I suppose it isn't too late to chase the dream but I imagine it'll be tough to keep up with the cracked out zoomers. I suppose it ended up being a waste of time in the end cause I have nothing to show for all the countless hours spent gaming, though they were some of the best times of my life. im going to complain about various customers i have encountered while working overnight shifts as a floater

stuffy old white people in really nice, upper-middle class areas who scream at you at 2 in the morning because the diet coke isn't working. like ok karen go somewhere else then? i don't care that it's broken, and no, i'm not going to go to the back to see if we have more. these types especially got on my nerves because these stores would be super slow at night (sub 100 transaction nights) and so they'd stand out more than your average complainer.

I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it "the Moderator". First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked Moderator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either SBAllen or the guy from the extreme cold that is Minnesota (not the chick who got fired from the community manager role because that one sucked) and I start to hum the moderator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my leg. I'm still not sure if I literally have selective mutism or just have a lot of anxiety or something, it's a mixed bag! But apparently I have ADHD. I knew I had been diagnosed when I was really little, but my mom didn't think it held that much weight because I didn't seem very... ADHD-ish? I mean, I don't bounce off the walls but I'm pretty fidgety, and I'm not always the best at paying attention.
But then my psychiatrist said I probably have ADHD. I was shook by this revelation, but what are you gonna do about it? If I hardly ever noticed it being an issue, there's no point stressing about it, I'm the same as I always was. I like thinking 95% of the time anyway!

I'm not able to enjoy Well-done Steak anymore...

I went out with some friends, and I ordered my Steak Well-done since it was not a great Steakhouse, but more a mediocre one.
Everyone just stared.
Greg (the man who loved to grill, had two propane grills in his backyard), said "Are you sure, Well Done?" Which I confirmed, and the waitress wrote it down.
I happened to look at my girlfriend, Clarissa, and she literally had her mouth agape at me ordering it....Anyway, after a few japes at my expense, the Dinner went
Then a couple of weeks later, we all go around Greg's for a cookout. We all arrived, and all seemed fine.
Greg was on the Grills, but he did make a whole show of giving me Well-done steaks, and made a big announcement, which was fine.
What wasn't fine, however, was going into his bedroom to grab a beer (as he keeps his refrigerator in there) and seeing him rutting my girlfriend, Clarissa, while I had a mouthful of steak.
He didn't even have the decency to wait until the party had finished.
Now, whenever I bite into well-done steak I just see that moment.

Their IQ's are outta this world because now you will not be subjecting the MEAT to being well done anymore

I think I'm at least bi if not gay. Lots of people have assumed I was gay since I was a kid (I guess because I act a little effeminate?), but until I was an adult all of my specific attractions had been to women. But the first time I ever remember feeling anything sexual was when I was like 12-13 and I had a dream about rubbing my body against another guy. Not anybody specific, just a guy in general. It was my sexual awakening, as it were. I was pretty in the closet when I was in middle/high school and reacted very negatively to anyone bringing it up, and the one time I would say I was ever bullied was in middle school when another kid kept making jokes about me being gay. Maybe it had something to do with my mom being homophobic, though she's long dead now. She monitored my internet habits back then and was very concerned and awkward about me looking at porn, but she was just so disgusted when she said she even saw I'd been looking at gay porn. It made me really ashamed. But lately I've begun to actually consider it in ways I never let myself before, and I notice that I've begun to check guys out which is still kinda awkward. Idk I still feel like actually doing anything about it is a step I'm afraid to take, and I still feel attracted to women as well, but maybe someday I'll get the nerve to experiment a little.

If you ever get the opportunity, ain't no harm in trying! I can understand wanting to play it safe though with women because of your upbringing though

I'm 34 years old and I no longer know how to meet women. Before when I was in high school and college it was a lot easier. And when I worked my various retail jobs it was always easy chatting up my co workers or customers, even if nothing came of it most of the time. I finally started my career last year and the majority of time I'm either working from home or working in an office full of guys. When I go to places like Barnes & Noble or Target I always see attractive women but I feel I've lost my edge and I get scared to approach them. I still go to places like clubs randomly with friends but I'm not looking for a girl who only wants to have fun, I'm looking for something a bit more serious. Don't even get me started on dating apps.

I'm looking for a more old fashioned and authentic relationship. And by old fashion, no I don't mean where the wife stays home and cooks and cleans. I mean the kind where you meet someone and get to know them in person over the course of several weeks/months by going on cute dates, not immediately jump into bed with them which is mostly what I've gotten out of dating apps. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I'm not a prude. But after bouncing from girl to girl I'm looking for something more serious.

I'm also still scarred from my last relationship which started with me seeing her for the first time and knowing she was the one. We had an immediate connection and every time I was around her I felt like I was with the person I was supposed to marry. If I don't feel that again with someone else then what's the point? It sadly did not work out because she was not in the country legally and she had to go home.

I have no idea how people find partners as an adult not in college or at work. I've dated too many of my coworkers as a result definitely probably not a good idea. I can see what you want though, and I think you can reasonably find someone who fits that. Don't go marrying someone you don't have a good connection with for sure.
