I think they eventually gave in on this simply because they knew they weren't kidding anyone by pretending Jack's identity was a mystery.

I would say the best unbought build was the Three Lords. Arguably undercosted for their combat worth and with useful ability flexibility that additionally scales into mid tier. Probably just released too late for anyone to realistically be able to spare the GP for them.

I feel like that might be a Lapis thing considering the funny stuff you can do with her in most non-magical classes.

Whilst I think the class rebalancing and adjustments have generally been fairly good, is there a bigger loser than Paladin with all the changes? It feels like such a mediocre class compared to reclassing into Great Knight or promoting into Wolf Knight, and I'm not even that big a fan of Wolf Knight. Pivot isn't that much of a selling point and it's class growths are nothing special. It's really missing it's old movement advantage and the easy access to Aegis.

I don't know if it's a hidden passive effect for him or what, but I feel like it's no coincidence Bunet has been the only unit to cook S+ rank meals for me so far.

Yeah, Revelations is the only route of the 3 with a traditional Jagen unit. Very traditional as his growths are about as bad as they get.

The end of Conquest is such a trip, it's great.

Man I can't imagine a single reason to bother leveling up Tome rank on Nohr Noble. It seems like Hoshidan Noble is going to be the obvious way to go in Rev.

If you only ever plan on using swords and Dragonstones on Corrin then sure, this would make sense. The Str and Def growths support this and you may as well have the more supportive skillset this way.

I can assure you it's definitely worth your time raising Nohr Noble though. It creates a much more offensively capable Corrin, not just with the addition of tomes but the skills they learn, which are superb.

NN tends to be the more popular of the two in general, but neither is that much better than the other for there to be a 'correct' answer. It depends on what you want out of your Corrin or what your army needs. The only exception is certain kids of Corrin would definitely want one over the other.

Yeah, I really don't like how they handle Flora in Birthright but I guess that's just one questionable plot decision of many. Speaking of which, her recruitment in other routes can be missable if you aren't upgrading the Fire Orb defence in your castle.

I think Birthright is the game that people dislike the least anyway. Some people hold up Conquest but only if you care about gameplay/music and nothing else.

Disliked the least maybe, but it'd never win over Conquest in a straight-up poll of which game people like more. You'd have to be more or less polling people who don't really like either to achieve a result where Birthright wins by default.

I think Morocco are being a little underated and are probably this World Cup's surprise package, but yeah even still this is kind of underwhelming from Spain.

One thing to be aware of in Birthright if you plan on being a completionist, since it'll drive you mad otherwise, Kaze needs at least an A rank with Corrin by chapter 15 or else you lose him for the rest of the game. You can't recruit his child until after this for the same reason, even if he's already reached S rank with someone.

UEFA were complaining more about the fact that it's a transparent move to curry favour with the African and Asian Associations by increasing their slots, this securing their backing for re-election, and if they cared about competitive integrity Europe and South America would be getting more than a combined 5 slots.

It's mostly the Hoshidan side that are guilty of being forgettable. Then there's Ophelia who steals every scene she's in.

I think it's funny that the S Support for Olivia!Chrom is specifically implying it's like the first time they've ever talked, since there's no way to get a natural S support and C/B/A cannot exist alongside it.

So here's the big mistake I made back hen I first played Awakening: zero patience. Unlocked the children the instant they were avaible. Obviously this means skill pass down from the parents is basically non existent.

This time, I'm going to make sure the at least ONE parent of every pair reaches level 15 promoted before unlocking them, in a class that the child won't be promoting to.

Just for kids I may end up using of course.

You can make a very silly Inigo if you take the time to invest in Olivia by reclassing her to Dark Flier so that she passes down Galeforce. He'll already have strong Skill and Luck but when you add Rightful King on top of that he'll be proccing skills like crazy.

The game kind of expects you to be making use of Second Seals without ever making it seem truly necessary on Normal. When it isn't a means to an end though, you can have fun having Manaketes riding on top of wyverns for long enough for them to learn Swordbreaker to dodge Wyrmsbanes and stuff.

I should really give Ike's games another go once I'm able to dig my Wii out storage. Both the games as a whole and it's cast are more or less at the bottom of my personal rankings, which I'm well aware are an almighty outlier of an opinion, especially on this board, so there must be something I just wasn't seeing or getting at the time I played them. Maybe I'm subconsciously associating them with things going on in life at the time, I don't know. I'm in the second half of a Birthright Lunatic atm and if anything it's just confirming how much more I prefer Conquest over it.

The big SA teams have flattered to deceive in too many consecutive World Cups now for me to consider backing one to win over a European nation. My money is on Spain, personally.

Yeah, voting for a general election right now would require significant support among Tory MPs to reach the threshold (which I think is two thirds of all MPs), and given current polling that would be tantamount to turkeys voting for Christmas. They're incompetent but they aren't idiots.

Common sense and preservation of dignity would both be valid reasons for the Tories to support an election, but given they cast both of those aside long ago they'd rather just save their skins and sit in a job for another two years whilst claiming an election would represent further instability.
