Yam Yam is the first gay winner in almost 30 seasons, so that's something happy and fun to think about.

I'm not upset about Yam Yam winning, but I really wish Carolyn had at least gotten a single vote (or better yet, gotten second place over Heidi).

I hope I'm wrong, but that FTC really made me feel like Yam Yam is winning over Carolyn.

I definitely feel like Heidi is losing though. She gave big "politician with weak charisma" energy throughout that whole tribal council.

First woman to win the final 4 fire-making since the twist was introduced 9 seasons ago.

Also, this is the first FTC to feature two women (who aren't Natalie Anderson or Michele Fitzgerald) since Caramoan.

I've gotta say, I did NOT expect Heidi making that move to work out for her.

Honestly, if Heidi goes to FMC and loses, that would be an amazing end to the story of someone flopping every time she tries to make a big move.

This is exactly it. Like, Ricard got the same kind of super positive send-off, but he'd also been built up as a major player all of the season, who took out Shan before she could take him out.

That's my first prediction come true. Carson winning immunity, since F5 is always an obstacle course with a puzzle at the end.

Next prediction is Lauren going home in an obvious vote.

Then F4 is tougher. I wanna say Carolyn wins immunity, but that might be wishful thinking. I'll still say it. Carolyn wins F4 immunity and sends Carson/Heidi to make fire. Heidi wins!

F3 is Carolyn/Yam Yam/Heidi, and it's a close vote between Carolyn and Yam Yam, but she wins out in the end.

I'm both hyped and nervous.

Oh thank God. I mean, I loved Jaime this season, but she's NOT Carolyn.

I'm legitimately worried at this point, because I don't want to have to imagine a finale without Carolyn playing to win.

The one thing that worries me is that Carolyn might not get credit for her idol play, since Carson was safe without it (thank God I don't need to add a fourth play to my ranking).

Heidi and Carolyn have idols.

Great job for Yam Yam (that makes two seasons in a row where this challenge ended with a "big" winner). Part of me wants Tika to stay intact...but I could also do with Carson going home. Just keep Carolyn safe.

That was a really strong opening. We get emotional moments from Carolyn, we get internal conflict from Heidi, we get Danny's paranoia (while continuing the theme of people telling the truth and not being believed). Survivor is so much more interesting when you just let the players and their interpersonal dynamics do the work.

While I wish Frannie had survived there, I appreciate her having a solid story arc.

One thing I'm going to say.

We had ten minutes of camplife and then twenty minutes of a single immunity challenge. This is why I'm not confident that 90-minute episodes will magically fix problems. I feel like production will just stuff more "events" into the episodes, since they're not going to magically show us more camplife.

Okay, I'm not usually one for fart humor, but that was damn good. Perfect comedic timing.

That Carson/Carolyn dynamic was fucking hilarious. Carolyn shrieking like a frantic banshee, while a sickly Carson cheers her on quietly and monotone.

This is so fucking stupid.

Instead of a tribe of eleven organically coming up with a vote (that could have been between Lauren and Danny, with an organic blindside), we split into two tribes of 5 (6), essentially having a new tribal immunity challenge...and then instead of a Yam Yam vs. Matt vote (which would suck, but again, it would be SOMEWHAT organic), Heidi's going to directly swing the vote.

Thank God.

I was so worried that purple would lose, because it's basically Brandon, and all the important characters thus far this episode. Orange is the team I like less, so good for Carson being a massive dork and 3D printing the puzzle.

Before this episode, I was gonna guess either Jaime or Josh was getting the merge boot edit...and Jaime definitely seems to be getting that edit thus far.

This tribe is a mess.

I still say this tribal council is going to end with a woman going home. But it might be Maddy instead of Lauren.

Claire is a sneaky, sneaky girl. I kinda love it, but wish Lauren wasn't the victim.

Also, Ratu has 4/6 of the tribe with something worth putting a target on their backs. This should be fun (and end with an obvious Lauren boot).

Sarah's advantage feels O.P. as fuck, especially if you get a double idol play.
