The most fun part is actually the role playing in towns etc which can get really silly/funny. When it gets to combat/dungeon crawling my eyes glaze over with boredom.

pretty much the exact opposite of me, I can't get even remotely into roleplaying as a concept but I've recently been very into this boardgame called gloomhaven that's basically just class-based team cooperative dungeon crawling. I can't say for sure since I haven't played DnD myself but it's kinda like what I'd imagine DnD to be like if there was no roleplaying at all

I played a single TTRPG session with a few friends from highschool, after we'd graduated. It wasn't DnD, it was something else but I forgot what it was

I really did try to give it a legit shot but I just couldn't find it fun at all. And this was with people I liked and enjoyed their company already. Think I would have had a better time just spending the same amount of time aimlessly chatting with them instead.

I felt a little bad for the rest of them afterward since they were clearly into it and me just kinda disappearing out of the game probably ruined some stuff

in theory spanish may be more "useful" for talking to people (what does this even mean lol) but the number of people I've met in my entire life who speak spanish is single digits

I don't mind them, but if I wanted to watch a male streamer then a VTuber wouldn't be my first option. I like the girls because they've bloated the VTuber space so there's more options to watch a female streamer as a VTuber one as opposed to a regular streamer. Before VTubers, I followed basically 0 female creators so this helps me.

I get motion sick from actual motion pretty easily. bumpy car rides suck, playground swingsets suck, I've never even tried a rollercoaster since it just seems like it would be awful all around. but somehow doing something like reading in the car doesn't make it any worse. it's all about how much the car is actually moving up and down or going around a lot of corners

i feel like in general devs have moved away from cool easter eggs and stuff in favor of pumping out the latest derivative drivel that their publisher is forcing them to do.

I'd attribute this to how much more effort any given thing in a game takes to make nowadays. A silly joke mode/sprite change that takes someone a day to make is one thing, but a silly joke model change that takes artists and programmers and designers multiple days working together to ensure it doesn't break anything else in the extremely complex system games have become... suddenly starts feeling a lot less worthwhile for something 95% of players will never experience

I'd wager that most of it is graphical assets. Audio doesn't take up a lot of space.

audio can add up to a fair bit if you compress it poorly (or not at all) and you're a game with a a lot of total audio length

having just a variety of voice quips, for an entire cast of characters, can add up fast

iirc it's a modded thing that swaps between the games at random every 15-30 seconds or so

hotpot works by putting the food in as small slices/pieces, having it cook very fast, and then fishing it out and eating it. you usually don't drink the broth and despite what it may look like from the pics it's not eating a soup or anything

it was mentioned on some faq page if you want to find something more detailed but the basic summary is that they were locked into a venue contract from a while ago that they couldn't really afford to cancel

Damn people's lives vary greatly. I write my signature probably 20 times a day on average. Even then it still sometimes comes out looking different. But you can tell it's my handwriting

what do you write all these signatures for?

basically the only times I ever write it is renewing government documentation, credit cards, etc etc

But if you mean the authorized signature, then no. Banks do compare the signature to ensure you actually wrote the check.

I continue to have no idea how the numbers game works in regards to this sorta thing, though, I go look at the fleshtubers I used to watch and they're literally like 1/5th the size of any given holo but still living comfortably.

iirc if you have more than 50 viewers on average you're already in the top 1%. so basically even the smallest holos are fairly massive streamers

it has a lot of souls-isms in aesthetic, setting, and gameplay. I'm sure if you actually stop and think about it you could find a bunch but some to get you started

mostly lore-based storytelling
areas mostly run-past-enemy filler on the way to large boss fights
relatively high freedom in terms of where you can go

within that style of mario game I'd put sunshine and probably also galaxy above it. branching out into just similar genre I want to say banjo-kazooie but it feels like cheating since it's pretty much the size of a full level

I think it's because the lower focus on graphics means there can be more focus on the stuff that actually matters to those people.

Or because they don't like 3D

8-bit is definitely a little simplistic but you can have extremely nice looking detailed 16-bit sprites so it's not like they all just look ugly

that seems like an insane amount of peppers considering the yield you can get from even a single plant

you're gonna be drying enough peppers to last you decades

it actually is worth it because it saves you wasting an action on your turn to declare war on them yourself

I agree with the general sentiment of this but I think visual art is particularly controversial for whatever reason. I haven't actually played either one so I can't really elaborate but I saw other people talking about it and my understanding is that the work/jobs system has been overhauled somewhat so that the problems dwarf therapist fixed no longer exist in the first place. So it's not really built-in but you don't need its functionality anymore

if that is your idea of a "fun joke" then I am pleased to tell you that you will probably find visual novels as a whole to be the absolutely most hilarious thing you have ever experienced since that's the sort of throwaway line you find in like 50%+ of the games of that genre

probably you want to mostly use tags (user submitted content tags) and language (self-explanatory). if you click the plus to the right you can add additional categories if you want to look for games with specific sorts of characters or rating or etc etc
