Dual Destines ending wouldve been better if Bobby Fullbright WAS the mole/spy/thief all along, instead of The Phantom killing and impersonating Bobby the whole time. Small change, I know, and maybe I didnt explain it well, but it wouldve been so much more satisfying and conclusive

Disco Elysium? CRPG or Visual Novel/Narrative game?

Fallout 3? CRPG or FPS?

Dragon Age? CRPG or Action RPG?

Divinity Original Sin? CRPG or JRPG?

Skyrim? CRPG or Open World Adventure?

Itd be less fun as a result but honestly yeah I can imagine SotN without RPG elements. Many Metroidvanias dont have a level or equipment mechanic. I get your point though

Would you consider them Action RPGs, or 2D action adventure games with RPG elements? Its not like youre issuing commands or spells much, the game would be pretty unchanged if you removed the leveling mechanic

i just keep an alphabetical list with the title, platform, and date i beat them + any expansions

i also click the little doodad on the gamefaqs page that says i beat them

as for backlog i take more of the candy store approach. i just keep track of the stuff i have and might make smaller lists of stuff i'd like to play in the coming weeks/months/ whatever from time to time, or i just keep those installed on steam if that's where i'm primarily playing

how do you keep that list separating by platform etc? Is there a template you use? On excel or what?

What about your backlog? Do you do something to organize that?

If so, how do you organize them?

I keep a simple Notes file on my phone, but Ive been thinking of making some sort of grouped list thing so I can separate games Ive played by genre and all that. What software could I use to do something like that?

The PC version is abandonware so you can legally download it, and theres an excellent mod that cleans everything up and makes it run well and in widescreen

I would go Steam version but apparently its not great. Should I do the Wii or Switch version instead? Either way it would be on less than official hardware and Id be using a traditional controller (with motion control capabilities)

or is the steam version that as bad as Ive heard?

The original Costume Quest has a Christmas themed DLC. Miles Morales Spider-Man game is set during Christmas.

every single Pokmon has the ability to shrink to microscopic sizes. Theyll do that when they faint as a survival tactic. The shrinking is also how they fit into pokeballs.

The second is a marked upgrade from the first but I quite enjoyed them. Only complaint is the standard "do you want a slow opening with virtually no gameplay besides maybe walking and triggering another scene?" thing too many jrpgs do but that's more in the first than the second. So.

ive still got way too many games on the docket to tackle, but Ill keep this series in mind.

I both RE1 and REmake, if your designated partner is dead, Tyrant phase 2 simply does not happen. What probably happened is that you didn't wait for Barry to get another rope, which ends up killing him. He'll also die in the caves if you don't go with him or do go with him, but let him go first.

yeah I figured it out. I think they changed that in REmake cuz I didnt even know waiting for the rope was even an option

Goku wouldve used Instant Transmission to stop Frieza, but he felt Trunks energy and concluded that everything would be fine, so he didnt teleport.

Also iirc I didnt meet Barry in the cavern underground

Finished the game. Barry died and I didnt fight Tyrant at the helipad? I didnt even know that was possible. What did I do wrong? When I played REmake, both Barry and Chris were saved, and I blew up Tyrant with the rocket launcher. I dont think I did anything different

Knock off should be 70base power but does not get the 1.5 boost when removing an item. Its too OP and spammable atm so gamefreak really cut back on who gets it

Those convergent evolutions shouldve just been regional forms. Wugtrio and Toadscruel are the only ones, it doesnt deserve its own mechanic/form/whatever. Paldaean Tentacruel and Diglett wouldve been totally fine. If you want to push it, you can say Wugtrio is its own evolution, like how Paldean Wooper turns into Clodsire, not Quagsire
