Since the early 2000s, things have gradually getting less bad. Not because of concern for the comedians, but because of incidents where regular people (especially teenagers in bullying incidents) would copy things they saw on TV and got seriously injured. The networks got scared of getting sued, basically. IIRC the crackdown started because some kids imitated a "batsu game" (games where the loser has to endure some kind of embarrassment or physical punishment) they saw on TV and one of them died. --- And who are you, my little friend? | action52 01/14/23 7:24:07 AM #29 | CJayC had no idea that the people who use message boards would age along with him. No one did. At the time, social media as we knew it did not exist. YouTube existed but was nowhere near as widely used as it is now. Smartphones did not exist. We were on an internet that was mostly nerds sitting at home on their desktop computers. It was reasonable to think that message boards would keep being popular and demand for maps and text-based FAQs would continue for the forseeable future. He figured that as young, new users kept coming in he would become more and more out of touch. So he decided it would be better to pass on control of the site to some young blood. I respect that. Little did he know that in a few years the internet would be turned upside down, to the point where a site like this is largely irrelevant to young people. And now it's mostly just old millenials / young Gen Xers who stay here because it's what they're comfortable with. --- And who are you, my little friend? Basically if you want lots of pyro application and you just need to heal/shield yourself a little bit, it can be useful. For example, when I have to do a lot of that Mondstadt talent domain, I would do her, Xiangling, Yoimiya, and Diona. She would help destroy all those ice shields super fast while also filling in the gaps of Diona's shield and helping keep the team's health from being chipped away. I haven't found much use for the build outside of that, but the prototype amber has been useful as something to give to catalyst users on my friendship teams. Because those teams don't need DPS either, and just having a little bit of healing to take care of the little bits of HP that I lose on commissions saves me trips to the statue. --- And who are you, my little friend? It really depends on what kind of IT and what company. Nurses? NURSES? Nurses are among the hardest working jobs out there, and they literally save lives, and yet their pay is lower than most professional salaried jobs. If anything they're underpaid.
