if I just fix that first part where the guitar for Out There doesnt mesh with Ktulu when the drums come in (the most important part of the mashup arguably lol) and then again when the guitar comes in a little late during the solo (probably by splicing part of Out There to cover the gap because the solo actually lines up well with it) and then move the voice around a bit at the end, it would be great. Even the other parts that dont quite sync arent really that annoying.

80%, 70% considering its the intro thats the problem

in general, I think Out There comes in a few beats late, and the click at the beginning doesnt really need to be there. Easy fix tbh

im gonna leave this up for a few more hours, and I will probably just recut Out There entirely over Ktulu based on the above as a template

note to self: line up the bass and roots at the beginning, then the 3 main guitar sections. Now all I hear is how Out There comes in early in places lol. This is fun. Maybe I will make a rendition I can enjoy more than the originals

It could have been cool if they set it up so he was the hardest trainer in each area you fought him. If you lose to him repeatedly, he gets ahead of you and becomes the champion. If you thrash him repeatedly, he ends up behind you and Oak is the champion.

Wouldnt it be more true to the original if Gary becomes champion despite you beating him at every turn? If Gary beats you a lot, he decides to call it an early victory and joins you at the end at the Elite Four and helps you with some items between battles. Depending on how the game progresses, the champion will then be Misty, Brock, Giovanni, or Prof Oak.

there could be an option for throwing the match whenever facing Gary at story points to help facilitate this process

That would be an interesting game mechanic but I don't like the idea of losing my gold over it.

After posting I considered the idea of actually designing large parts of a game around Beleetle instead of it being optional, and thought to clarify something about the idea of Beleetle healing your Pokmon
