How much drama would there be?

For example, everyone puts in $10 and you go buy the tickets and make copies so everyone knows the tickets that were bought with that money. And then everyone signs it confirming it.

Then later in the day you buy a single lottery ticket on your own and you end up winning the billion dollar jackpot with that ticket. How would you feel if you were on the other end and you get nothing lol?

I heard it was because they couldn't pull the "we'll get back to you when we find it" and travelers would argue with staff showing them on their phone the location of luggage at the airport. The airlines didn't want to deal with that.
