We havent even met your mother yet. You seem to have a much more heroic sense of justice however, so perhaps the world need not to worry about you. The other fighters do however, as youre really quick which makes you tough to battle against. We've been watching it at home. It never got that big in Danmark, so I never watched it on TV. We are now two seasons in, and I can see the first two are shorter than the rest.

Does it get much better?

It's not at all bad. I just haven't really been caught by it either. Season 2 had some alright episodes. I also started feeling the main characters a bit, except Jerry himself, who is a pretty dull lead tbh. Does that change?

In the dub Misty is interested in Ash, so she's not the worst answer.

The eight King of Iron Fist Tournament has just been announced. Competent fighters from all over the world have received an invitation to fight and receive a large sum of money if they win. Its all about beating your opponents by using your various cool fighting styles and strive to become the best. However, it seems as if the organizers of the tournament have more plans with the tournament than simply handling out a luxurious grand prize. You suspect they are using it as a distraction for war and to drive personal motives. While you aim for the top of the world, it is recommended to keep an extra eye out for the people that are in the tournament for all the wrong reasons and try to fight and beat those. With that said, let the tournament begin!

RULES
There are many but almost none should be a surprise or new to you, theyre just nice to have. Ive highlighted some important or ones that are different from recent games here.

GENERAL
- Mafia is a game of the uninformed majority (the TOWN), against the informed minority (the MAFIA/SCUM). It is the TOWNs job to eradicate the MAFIA completely, and the MAFIAs job to survive to a point where numbers are such that they cannot lose.
- The TOWN eliminates the MAFIA via lynches, which occur once a DAY. Everyone gets one vote which they may place on whoever they feel is scum. Whoever receives the most votes is lynched and removed from the game. DAYs last 48 hours or until a lynch is decided.
- During the NIGHT phase, the MAFIA gets its chance to even the numbers slightly by killing someone and removing them from the game. NIGHTs last 24 hours.
- The game ends when one faction meets its victory condition. A player will win, even if they are dead, as long as their alignment triumphs.

ETIQUETTE
- I reserve the right to modkill anyone that breaks any of the rules. Depending on the degree of the rule break you may or may not receive a warning before I act. Any judgement I make regarding modkills is final and is not allowed to be discussed at all before the game is over. It is not in my interest to modkill so simply avoid forcing me to decide.
- A basic level of activity is expected in this game. You are not expected to post for the whole 48 hours, but you are expected to keep up to speed with the topic. This is a rare rule in where you are guaranteed to receive a formal warning before I act.
- In the event a replacement happens, you are not allowed to discuss the reasons for the replacement at all.
- Play to win. There is no such thing as being in an unwinnable position in mafia, however hopeless it may seem. You are not allowed to sabotage your faction.
- You are forbidden from talking to another player about the game outside the topic, unless you have a special board, or permission from the host to do so.
- You are forbidden from posting in the topic during the night phase (including after the final vote is cast/a STOP is called). Posting at :00 is too late. I will try to be nice and reasonable about this but do not attempt to take advantage of it.
- You are forbidden from editing or deleting posts. This includes players who have been eliminated from the game. It is allowed to edit a simple typo into a post but substituting sentences or even words as well as adding or removing content is strictly against the rules. If you are worried about editing typos, always make a new post instead.
- You are forbidden from post pictures of other players into the topic. Do not post audio clips into the topic.
- You are forbidden from making bets or stake a claim on outside forces during the game i.e. do not swear on your mothers life that you are telling the truth.
- You must play nice. Deliberate intimidation, harassment or verbal abuse of another player in a malicious and uncalled for fashion is not allowed. This is extremely important. Telling someone that their play is stupid is fine. Telling someone they are stupid is not.
- You are not allowed to have any players in the game blocked at any point while the game is going on, even if neither of you is alive.
- Do what the Host says. I reserve the change the rules at any point during the game as I see fit. Feel free to ask me questions privately at any time.

VOTING
- You vote in the format ##Vote: [playername], in bold. You can remove your vote by posting ##Unvote, also in bold. You can also choose to ##Vote: No Lynch. You are not required to unvote before voting elsewise, but it is appreciated for tallying purposes.
- The lynch is decided on a plurality system. Once one player receives votes from a simple majority left in the game, the day immediately ends, and that player is lynched. Failing that, every day has a time limit of 48 hours. The player in the lead at that point will be lynched.
- If two or more players are tied in votes at the end of the day, I will randomly choose one of the tied players to be lynched. No Lynch is an exception and will always be chosen if it is among the tied options. If you dislike this rule, do not let the day end in a tie.
- You are not allowed to vote for yourself.

ROLES
- Everyone received their roles prior to the game. This contained flavor text, character, alignment and role. You must read this before playing the game. All roles have been given out at random.
- You are allowed to share your character and role with the game.
- You are allowed to share your flavor text but only paraphrased using your own words. Directly copy/pasting is forbidden. Ask me beforehand if youre in doubt. Flavor is meant to be fun but not meant to be used to solve the game. That leads me to the next rule.
- Trying to metagame is allowed but not recommended. Metagaming is drawing conclusions based on predictions and explanations of the host or the setup. In continuation of the above, I will confirm that MAFIA has a safelist which is a list of characters truthfully sworn by the host to not be in the game that they are free to claim.
- Remember to check your messages before posting in each new day, even if you are not expecting correspondence from the host. There may be something you need to be aware of before posting.
- During the Night phase, the following is the order in which actions take place. This is in no way confirmation of all these abilities being in the game.
1. Any necessary and hopefully unlikely host intervention
2. Strongman/poison
3. Any ability for which it convenient to act early such as recruiter, neighborizer or backup.
4. Roleblocking
5. Any form for redirection
6. Role stealing
7. Any form for kidnapping or commuting
8. Anything that does not fall into the other categories
9. Regular killing abilities

There is a sound you can listen to that appears if there is something to get in the room. It's not perfect but it's something.

Also Han has looked over the game. Nothing major was changed but he suggested a few tweaks that I think made balance better. I appreciate the effort, Han!

I mean, if you want the novelty of bringing Pokemon all the way from GBA to Switch (which I also love), then yeah that sucks. But if it's just a matter of having everything, they've done such a damn good job of maintaining the availability of every Pokemon at this point, I have to wonder, is there any Pokemon anymore that still HAS to be transferred from Gen V or prior, or is everything available to some capacity in 6 through 9?

None.

Hell almost anything is available on just the Switch. It's missing only the lines of Snivy, Tepig, Patrat, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Blitzle, Sewaddle, Ducklett, Furfrou, Pikipek, and Minior, all of which are available in the 3DS games. Also according to leaks of SV DLC this list reduces to starters, monkeys, Patrat and Furfrou later this year.

That's cool.

And starting Thursday should be fine as well. Might be necessary anyways.

If that's cool with @masterplum or if @UnderUrMattress has decided then it works.

Though it would obviously make it more ideal for Abacus to start Wednesday rather than Thursday.

Would like three more (or two if we throw Plum in, but yeah). Game is more or less ready and stuff has finished being written, so game can start the day after whenever I get enough, which is still as early as tomorrow.

It's not really that much extra time added for scanning everything I think. At least must of the time it's pretty useful to know the enemy intel anyways and most data stuff can just be skipped if you don't care.

And yeah Abacus, I understand that, though I personally find it enjoyable enough trying to figure out the hints you can get. A QoL change that would help a bit they could have considered making was some way to fast travel.

My save file had 14 hours of progress for 100% though it helped that I know the game pretty well beforehand (might also have left it on at some point so maybe it evens out).

It's pretty short so should definitely be doable.
