Yeah, but I'm not sure where. I went to one here in Austin years ago before I lived here for a buddy's bachelor party, but I have no idea where it actually is since I didn't know the city back then. I'm not really interested in strip clubs. Once I'm there it's a good time, but I also get drunk and waste money on lap dances even though I know it's just a blue ball method.

I mean Christ, you're talking about Elon Musk being a loser when he was the world's richest man last year. That's a far cry from a complete loser that's unable to carry on a conversation without being a creep or annoying.

It's really dependant on each individual situation, like those that choose to remain virgins intentionally for whatever reason or people that just aren't interested in sex.

There is a high likelihood of adult virgins being loser the older you look, though. Not specifically because they're virgins, but because if you're a virgin in your 30s or 40s I think there's a high likelihood you haven't been able to have a relationship or even a one night stand, and if you can't get close to a single person over the course of decades you might be a loser.

Once or twice a week, mostly on the days I'm downtown for work because there's some pretty great spots. Typically I'm not eating at large chains anymore and go to local chains instead, but there's a chick fil a I can see from my office and I get lured into it sometimes. Outside of that we might grab a burger from P Terry's on a weeknight if neither of us feel like cooking dinner or eating leftovers.

As far as why we don't eat at fast food spots more, we've just always got a stocked fridge and freezer with fresh stuff to make and lots of leftovers ready to eat and frozen. We vacuum seal stuff like proteins to help it last and we've always got different soups we've made on hand that can be reheated super fast on the stove for a quick and easy lunch.

Even if they are 6 months late on rent, this is not the correct way to handle it. Landlord is 100% wrong here, and whatever the tenant is or isn't doing has no relevance to that, period.

I said the landlord was wrong in either situation. In the scenario where rent isn't paid, though, the tenant is also in the wrong. Not for the confrontation, that's still on the landlord, but for living on someone's property without paying rent. I hate landlords just as much as the next guy, but that doesn't make squatting okay.

What I don't get is why anyone is certain that it's one way or the other, because the video makes no mention of early payments so none of us can be sure. But here we are and more than half this topic is people acting certain they know what's going on, whether that's the landlord wanting early payment or the tenants being squatters.

Haven't we seen enough 15 second clips out of context or where the given context is wrong by now to realize we don't actually know what's happening in or around this video?

You need to think about both geography and climate when thinking about why we don't have crews readily available to handle this at the drop of a hat. Where you're from, the conditions exist in which it's expected that storms and other things of that nature will often occur. In central texas, these conditions rarely occur. I mean rarely. That's likely to change moving to change moving forward, but this is the case for our current situation.

It's not a "Texan" thing either. I'm from coastal Texas originally where hurricanes and tropical storms regularly whip through and wreck us, and because those conditions are normal there we'd get our power back pretty quick after the storm rolled through. The worst weather we historically get here in Central Texas though is that it's too hot. You might as well ask why we don't have salt trucks for the roads.

They can have all the creative freedom they want elsewhere. The makers of those games are releasing them on a console owned by a company that doesn't want that content, so tough luck.

An easy comparison is Twitter. People bitch and moan about free speech and censorship there, but a private entity is well within their rights to not allow something on their platform. They can't outlaw that elsewhere though, so if you want to say fucked up shit (or make titty games) just go to another social media platform (or release your game on a platform where it won't be censored).

No it isn't, especially when no one can actually explain how it's a detriment to the game.

I understand that perfectly fine. What I don't understand is why no one can articulate why they hate weapon durability in BotW. I don't understand why people say it ruined the game. I don't understand why it's basically the #1 complaint about the game when objectively it's 100% a nonissue.

What part of "it wasn't fun" do you not get? If I don't have fun doing something that's supposed to be fun, that's all the reason I need to say it's not fun. I don't need to write an essay or explain to you why I didn't like it because it wasn't fun is all the reason anyone should need to not like something in a game.

Again, you're acting personally offended that other people didn't think weapon durability was fun. Stop acting like you're trying to win a debate. No one needs to explain to you every aspect of why they didn't find it fun because it all just boils down to "I didn't find it fun," and that's all the explanation anyone should need for a video game.

"I want to do this thing that's entirely counter to the design and structure of the game" is entirely valid if the player doesn't find what the game was designed to fun.

Why can't you understand that people can just prefer one thing to another? These are games we're talking about. If a person doesn't like it they don't like it, you don't need to defend it like they're attacking you by disliking it.

It can't be a bad mechanic if it doesn't impede gameplay, and in six years I have literally never seen an explanation for how it impacts play or what actually makes it bad besides "I don't like it."

I literally explained to you that they view it as bad because the game doesn't allow to hold onto weapons they want. You and I don't have an issue with that, but it doesn't make their opinion invalid.

It's strange and I'm trying to understand why this particular point has stuck on so many people even after six years. I already said this.

Look I don't mind the durability system but it's pretty easy to see why some people don't like it. They want to find a cool weapon and keep it forever, they don't want it to break. The game is designed around weapons breaking and finding new ones, but lots of players don't want to do that, they just want the cool weapon they had that just broke and now they can't find again.

* also, people often like permanent weapons. if, let's say, 99% of the weapons you get can break, but the Master Sword was permanent, that would be one thing, and would still give players the supposed sense of freedom weapon durability proponents sometimes go on about, and also incentivize others to pursue the MS, if that's what they want. however, even the MS needs to be recharged, with is BS.

One thing I'll say regarding the MS, which probably won't resonate much since you already don't like the durability system, is that it has to have a recharge for the entire system to work. By nature of being the master sword it has to be the games most powerful weapon, and if you didn't make it recharge then players would never use any other weapons besides their bow. The workaround is to give other weapons an advantage over the master sword, but then it wouldn't be the best weapon anymore.

The end result, for you at least, is the MS recharging is both a feature and a flaw in the system. Personally the recharge time never bothered me though, mostly because the time.i spent between big encounters was enough time for it to recharge.

it's not that the seeds are necessarily difficult to find, I just think that if your inventory space is going to be limited, and your weapons a finite resource that take up inventory space, then that's not good design.

at least one of those things should have been scrapped, IMO.

despite their weak damage, my favorite weapons are the boomerang types, and iirc, you come across them less frequently than the others.

I don't want to have to warp to an earlier area, or travel back somewhere (even if it's a minor inconvenience), to farm a few since I know they're going to break because they're not as strong as that area's swords, spears, etc.

Fallout 3 (and maybe the later ones) handled this kinda thing best, where you could use similar weapons to repair broken ones.

I'll give you that, boomerangs were my second favorite weapon behind spears and I did have to travel back to the desert or the rainy area to get them if I ran out. Fortunately, because I loved spears and boomerangs so much my inventory was usually full of just those lol

but the thing about the breakable weapons/shields/bows was that you had to hunt down the korok seed kids to unlock more inventory space for them.

plus, if there was a specific weapon I liked, I'd have to go back to a certain area for it, which wasn't always fun.

it was a hindrance more than anything, IMO.

I see how how you're second complaint is valid, but as far as hunting down korok seeds I'm not so sure. Nintendo packed so many seeds into the game along natural game paths I never found myself actively seeking them out. I'd just see a quick puzzle on the way to my next shrine and drop a boulder to complete a circle or recreate a pattern by moving a single metal block and boom, I got a new seed in seconds and just kept moving. The only ones that took me any time were the archery challenges, which I could just skip because there were so many seeds in the game I could do other things I wasn't bad at instead and never be short.
