Emilia Clarkes role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been shrouded in mystery since it was first announced. However, we finally know who she will play in the Disney+ series Secret Invasion.

The 36-year-old Game of Thrones alum appears in the upcoming series alongside the likes of MCU regulars Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn.

Fans have long believed that Emilia was set to play a character named Abigail Brand after a GIF of her promoting the show was released with that name attached to it. However, we just learned that the actress has a very different role.

Spoiler alert: We have seen this character in the MCU before!

Emilia is set to play an adult version of the character Giah, according to Vanity Fair.

Who is Giah? Shes described as a Skrull radical who we first met in 2019s Captain Marvel. She wasnt mentioned by name in the film, but Samuel clarified that she was the daughter of Bens character Talos.

According to Emilia, that relationship hardened her.

Theres a kind if punk feeling that you get from this girl, she added. Shes a refugee kid whos had Talos for a dad, you know what I mean? Maybe the fact that we didnt know he had a kid up until this point tells you everything you need to know about their relationship.

Well, I mean, it stands alone and in its reach, I think. I think certainly, like, I loved Jurassic Park as a kid. I was 13 years old when it came out. It was a big part of my childhood, he recalled. When I got introduced to Novex Biotech, I was around 410-415 lbs. Im into the low 370s right now, but my ultimate goal is 350-something, he explained to the outlet. So I still got 20 lbs.

Once he hits his goals, he said that he had a big plan for a photoshoot: My goal is to one day be able to do an underwear ad with my sons 51 years old, just muscles everywhere.

Jewel is opening up about her mother, Lenedra Carroll, claiming she stole millions of dollars from her.

I didnt really realize what my mom was until I was 30-something. I woke up and realized she embezzled all of my money, over $100 million, she explained.

Id show up on her doorstep. She was the opposite of my dad. My dad was this volatile alcoholic that hit me, very easy to identify [as a] bad guy. My mom seemed like the opposite. She was calm, she was soft, she never yelled, obviously never hit me, she said.

I didnt realize I was being abused in another way at the time. If you asked me when I was 9 to maybe even in my 30s, I wouldve thought I had a supportive figure. Looking back, what was actually happening is my mom, lets say when I would show up on her doorstep, she would say, Your mind is so powerful. Our minds are only tap, we use like 10% of our brain power. Our minds are so powerful and I think you, Jewel, are so powerful that I think you could sit here and stare at this light bulb and you might be able to get it to turn off with your mind. That is such an abusive, effed up thing to say, but I felt so loved. What it actually was was my mom didnt want to stay there and be with me, and she babysat me by having me watch light bulbs. So, sometimes the appearance of an attached figure isnt what it seems.

I felt like I didnt want to live anymore, Ed said after everything he went through. And I have had that throughout my life. Youre under the waves drowning. Youre just sort of in this thing. And you cant get out of it.

Im self-conscious anyway, but you get into an industry where youre getting compared to every other pop star. I was in the One Direction wave, and Im like, Well, why dont I have a six pack? And I was like, Oh, because you love kebabs and drink beer. Then you do songs with Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. All these people have fantastic figures. And I was always like, Well, why am I so fat?

So I found myself doing what Elton [John] talks about in his book gorging, and then it would come up again. The Rolling Stone writer notes that Elton spelled it out a little clearer in his autobiography, writing, I had developed bulimia.

Ed continued, Theres certain things that, as a man talking about them, I feel mad uncomfortable. I know people are going to see it a type of way, but its good to be honest about them. For several years now, the three of us have had a front row seat to the changing dynamics of the American church, especially from the perspective of predominantly white evangelical institutions. Weve been grieved by the conditions cited by those leaving, including scandals that have marred the churchs reputation, high-profile leadership failures, and partisan divisions. Weve watched people we know and love walk away from churches or the Christian faith altogether, with many giving no indication they plan to return.
