What makes something into a slave?
I propose it is a lack of respect
No.

noun: slave; plural noun: slaves
  1. a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.

No, treating someone whose rights as a person you have taken away and have forced to obey you but doing so in a way that you think is "respectful" is not good and it is not exempt from the label of slavery.

This is the kind of garbage pro-confederate revisionists like to spout, incidentally.

If a singular god existed it would probably be either intersex or it wouldn't have primary sex characteristics at all. A singular god would have no use for binary sex characteristics.

Being beaten and raped is not part of their sentence.
Being starved to death or given food not fit for humans to eat is not part of their sentence.
Being tortured by solitary confinement is not part of their sentence.
Enduring heatstroke is not part of their sentence.
Forced labor is not part of their sentence.

If someone is sentenced to imprisonment, that is their sentence. That is their punishment. All of the above shit should be considered criminal in and of itself. For-profit prisons should not exist. If we have any program by which anyone profits in a prison, it should be an educational program for the inmates to reduce recidivism.

This is messed up, guys. If you search for this story, you'll find the above, but scroll down a bit and you'll see the disinformation the police spread instead.

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/kansas-city-woman-basement-police_n_634b0aa0e4b03e8038d4ad5b

A womans harrowing escape from a Missouri basement where she was sexually assaulted and held captive for weeks made national headlines earlier this month.
On Friday, the nonprofit newspaper The Kansas City Defender reported another disturbing factor in the case. Around the time of the womans disappearance from a Kansas City neighborhood, community members had reportedly expressed worry about a possible serial killer, citing the disappearance of multiple Black women and girls. But Kansas City Police dismissed their concerns.

Police tape blocks off the Excelsior Springs residence of Timothy M. Haslett Jr., after the home was boarded up and fenced off Monday, Oct. 10, 2022.

The 22-year-old Black woman told police that Timothy M. Haslett Jr. had abducted her and imprisoned her in a basement room in Excelsior Springs a city just northeast of Kansas City. There, he whipped and raped her repeatedly, she said. On Oct. 7, after about a month in the basement, she fled and sought help from neighbors while the man was taking his child to school. When she escaped, she was still wearing a metal collar locked with a padlock that authorities had to remove.
The woman also said she had friends who didnt make it and claimed that the man had killed them, Ciara Tharp, one of the neighbors who helped her, told local news station KCTV 5. The Excelsior Springs Police Department confirmed to The Daily Mail that it was actively investigating the possibility of two more women victims.
In the meantime, Haslett, who is white, has been arrested in the case. The 39-year-old pleaded not guilty last week to charges including rape, kidnapping and assault.

Before the womans escape, claims about murdered and missing Black women in Kansas City had gone viral on social media. The Kansas City Defender also published a video in which community leader Bishop Tony Caldwell spoke about the issue, citing a specific stretch of Prospect Avenue where women had gone missing. That same location is where the escaped woman would later say she had been abducted.
At the time, Kansas City Police called the claims completely unfounded, saying in a statement that there is no basis to support this rumor.
On Saturday, police spokesperson Officer Donna Drake told HuffPost that the department made its prior statement because it had not received any formal missing person reports.
We base our investigations on reports made to our department, she said in an email. There have been no reports made to our department of missing persons, more specifically women, missing from Prospect Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. In order to begin a missing persons investigation, someone would need to file a report with our department identifying the missing party.

There's a reason why so many people are disagreeing with you. Your entire post is predicated on ignorance about the job. Other people who are in the industry are backing her up on this.

Also, big spoilers for Bayonetta 3: It's a multiverse sort of game with alternate versions of Bayonetta. This means that whoever voiced Bayonetta in the game would have to voice multiple "versions" of her. It should go without saying that this means that the role is larger than one would expect, and voicing Bayonetta is NOT a small thing to do to begin with.

His cohosts at one point read off the address of a parent. Within weeks of their children dying, people who had listened to Infowars broadcasts were calling these parents and saying disgusting things about their children, and showing up at the parents homes.
Rifling through their trash, harassing them at funerals, threatening to murder them, forcing them to move repeatedly... and yes, Jones and Co did encourage it for their own personal profit. Almost immediately after the shooting, he was singling out families and accusing them of inventing children that didn't actually exist.

Ive been depressed my entire adult life. I hardly remember what it feels like to be alert and fully awake.
This, more or less, except mine started in earnest when I was about 8, got a bit better between the ages of 12-15, and then plummeted hard from then until today. I had a period of about 2 weeks in... 2008, I think? where it cleared away briefly. Was a bit surreal.

Uh... my father is religious and my mother is not, but mom was pretty insistent that we not be indoctrinated growing up. There was a brief period where my father became completely freaked out over the thought of his little kids all burning in hell (I think a friend of his was the origin of that) and so we went to church for a short period of time, but I didn't internalize anything from it.

Every single pregnancy and birth damages the health of and risks the life of the mother. Therefore, there is no need for any justification.

If someone thinks that people should be forced to be pregnant/give birth, but balks at the idea of being forced to donate organs after death, or even being forced to donate blood to save 3 lives a pop, I have no interest in hearing their thoughts on any political topic; they're obviously too much of a hypocritical idiot to offer anything of value.

On Kid A: I think it's interesting. Certainly at least worth listening to. Pretty lengthy intros to some songs. A lot of electric instruments and distortion. I have hearing problems and I had difficulty making out a lot of the lyrics (so I switched to a playlist where the videos had the lyrics up), and I had the same issue with Creep despite it not being distorted, so this is probably just a thing with Radiohead music. Similarly, I could tell that there were quieter parts to the songs being played but I couldn't make them out too well. I might try and listen again later with headphones.
Subject matter is heavy but it's paired with instrumentation that is not too heavy and balances it out except at the end.

Okay.

Edit: Huh, I dunno what I was expecting but that wasn't it. Kind of cheery/relaxing and unsettling at the same time. Reminded me a bit of Undertale's OST, weirdly. Have no idea what the fuck those lyrics are supposed to mean, lol.
Edit2: Ah, it's about deception and misleading, looking at the lyrics. There are different versions of the second set of lines which tweaks the meaning slightly, indicating that the perspective character spouts lies, which others parrot, that he's self-aware of this, and does it deliberately. Title seems kind of disconnected from the lyrics. Any deeper meaning is probably lost when taken out of context of the album, probably.
Edit3: Oh noooo you meant the full album... okay.
