I didn't like it because the movie felt hamstrung by some inexplicable need to recast the old actors but couldn't do that for Tron since I guess digital people don't get old or whatever and so their remedy for this was to just have Tron wear a helmet the whole time and they built a shitty story around these two limitations first and everything else came second.

I'd have preferred just remaking the original.

It's awful. Don't bother with it. The video game "Tron Evolution" was pretty fun though.

The times ive seen people complain about it are about the animation being different than anything they're used to but that doesn't make it bad. Tron evolution was a fun game, but it's story is ehh, it's just there with no real effect on the movie other than the one line quorra says in legacy about a program saving her.

Once Disney acquired Star Wars, it shat on its own sci fi ip's. Tron 3 was put on hold for so long because Tomorrowland flopped, leading disney to believe their own ip's cant hack it and it effectively "hurt their bottom line" which included tron in that line.

Tron Uprising was actively sabotaged by little advertisement and being put on so late in the night that the average viewer wouldn't see it. (IIRC the time slot uprising was put was like around 12am central time). They also relied on nielsen ratings for people tuning in live and with the "low ratings" they cancelled it after one season.

I personally wouldnt say tron fell flat on its face when both films made almost 200% its own budget each time. It just isnt making MCU or Star Wars levels of money.

When they released the demo video to showcase their "movement parkour magic" or whatever they called it my heart sank, because the only reason they would put this much effort into making movement look pretty is if the open world is giant and empty and they needed something to keep the players from getting bored while traversing it.

The demo was more or less that (though less of it than I was expecting tbh), but had a bunch of other issues as well. At least you can turn the dialogue off, but that just leaves a giant wad of silence in its wake. The combat is very boring after the first few encounters, though I think they also did a really poor job introducing it in the demo. I couldn't tell you if enemy designs were good or bad, because there are so many particle effects and they blend in so much with the background that I could hardly even see them. In some battles you were fighting the lock-on more than the enemies.

Overall I do like the idea conceptually, but it was a truly joyless experience.

tbh, other than games like GTA, i dont understand the appeal of open world games. They usually just end being a whole lotta nothing, you take in the sites a few times then there's just nothing to do otherwise in it, ffxv being an example from square

how come they didnt just rehire the voice actors? Didnt they also do the mocap for the game

my only gripe with season 5 is kenny being made a bigger threat than he actually was. Or at least him acting like one

300 million more than its budget apparently was not a success according to disney, that and tomorrowland the 2015 film failing was one of the reasons a tron 3 was never pushed through, especially once disney acquired star wars and marvel.

According to the seller, when they contacted fedex, fedex said they damaged my package and are just sending it back to the seller. Bruh they really waited until it was right in my area to figure out my package was damaged.

And the operator I was talking to really wanted to give me attitude saying it was my fault I didn't pick up my package within a 40 minute window.

Yeah I'll have to file a complaint later, fedex basically said it was my fault that I didnt pick it up, then they told to me to contact the shipper to ask him to find out why this is bs is happening, but the poor shipper just used a prepaid fedex thing to send stuff to me. So they end up having to deal with their bs too.

Called them up and they said I was supposed to pick it up at 6 in the morning, but they never let me know ahead of time that I was supposed to do that as the package was intended for home delivery, now they are sending it back across the country because I didnt pick it up in a 40 minute window.
