You know, the funny thing about the game being marketed as robot dinosaurs is that I think there aren't that many in the sequel. Most of the robots are based on normal animals.

There's really just three: the Progenitor Virus, the Mold, and the Plagas. Everything else in the entire series is a variant on those three.

The Progenitor in particular might explain all of it though. The wiki says that it's found in the genome of a lot of species. Presumably, that indicates it infected much of the world at one point. The mutative properties could have affected certain species of fungi and insects to create the Mold and the Plagas.

I once read a short story where the world's first time travelers had their ship crash. They ended up traveling back like three hours or something to right after they launched. The guys in charge investigate and figure out the crash was caused by someone bringing a shitload of extra weight on board; all they need to do to save their lives is not do that.

But the chief time traveler has realized they've stuck the entire world in a time loop and, so long as he keeps it going, everyone is immortal. The story also makes it clear that they're not just stuck in that loop, the entire world is suffering a kind of existential exhaustion.

I was agreeing with you. If his complaint is that Aloy is a stereotype because she's a tomboy, that's just dumb.

Aloy's not even a tomboy in the context of the world she's in. She's from a matriarchal tribe that others talk about as if they're Amazons. Aside from the Carja who are moving away from the sexism, every tribe we've seen is egalitarian with both men and women being in the military. Her physical feats aren't unusual for women in her world, it's only the fact that she accidentally found an iPhone as a kid that sets her apart.

I feel like this one's nearly impossible until #4 which I suppose some people might recognize, but more realistically, it's going to be #5 for most people. The only particularly noteworthy thing about the screenshots they use is the deliberate shittiness of the graphics, but that just makes it look like a PS2 era game. If the release year was earlier, that might be a hint, but it's at #5 with the goat, so that's no help.

The cartoony graphics that would be in the background of scenes. Like when she's walking down the street talking about something and the buildings behind her are showing her illustrations of it.

I lived the style in the first two episodes, it was a shame that they drastically cut down on that stuff as the show went along

I thought it was phenomenal and even I forgot it existed until I saw someone on reddit mention it.

They actually solved that problem by letting people verify that they were who they were claiming to be. Twitter would then post a blue checkmark next to that person's name to show that it was the official account of that person.

Don't really know why they stopped doing that though, maybe someone can remind me.

That's another thing I was being literal with: she seduces him into not killing people.

I think there is more to it though. Like Hannibal had drugged and attempted hypnosis the first time they get together, but it wasn't actually to seduce her. He was trying to "revive" his dead sister by turning Clarice into her. Clarice countered by - and again, I'm being literal - whipping her titties out. But I believe the entire book is Hannibal ruining her life, so it's pretty fair to say he groomed her a bit even if he wasn't aiming for a romantic relationship.

Tommen and Myrcella are completely normal, lovely kids. While it could be argued that Cersei's favoritism towards Joffrey meant she was more hands-on with him, I don't know that it's enough to completely disregard Joffrey just being fucked from the start. I think there was just something in him that was curdled and rotten at birth.
