Internet access, a computer, and a phone are pretty much essentials in the modern world. A video game about magic children is not an essential.

A lot of people don't like how much cars pollute the atmosphere but we still drive them because until electric vehicles become more affordable and widespread, they're a necessity whether we like it or not.

Possible since using the internet by all means doesnt mean partaking in all it has to offer. Phones can be dialed down to flip phones or landlines, and computers again have the same level of uses. The fact is most people do not shame others inot using them unless said people are trying to shame you in terms of what you choose to purchase regardless if said purchase is something truly harmful to others or not.

It is literally just buying a game. I also love Lovecraftian horror and buy non-essential luxuries from corporations, despite hating racism and worker exploitation.
