Though it's kinda funny given that John Leguizamo had a line in The Menu about how he's entering the "presenter phase" of his career.

I loved it. I like that it leaned into humor more than the first movie-- I was not expecting it be as funny as it was.

I also loved the reveal/montage of Miles misusing words/phrases. I remember questioning one or two like "infraction point", but seeing them all laud out was great

Also enjoyed that the credits reveal that the hourly dong was Joseph Gordon-Levitt

I liked it, but the ending popped up before I had full context of what I watched, so I had to go back and play some more to figure that out

To be clear, I am not saying it is confusing to everyone, just that it can be for someone with no context aside from other games they've played. I didn't struggle with it, but I know someone who bounced off the game because they were trying to "complete" a planet before moving on to the next one.

It can be confusing if someone is going in blind because it's not really structured like other games. In other games each of the planets might represent its own self-contained "quest" and you'd get some item, fight some boss, or get some other signpost saying you're making progress. Outer Wilds explicitly does not do this, and the only progression is the knowledge you gain about the solar system, which is not the kind of progression most gamers are conditioned to expect.

Did you use the rumor mode in the ship's log? That does a pretty good job of laying out what you've discovered and potential connections

One thing I keep forgetting is that the recommended way to play is with a controller, but I'm not really clear on why. I played through with keyboard/mouse, and I feel like it might have been harder with a controller.

First person just feels more natural with keyboard/mouse, even with the funky orientation in Outer Wilds.

Dunno if this is still open, but 4/10 seems about right, for the reasons that Blur mentioned

I looked this up, and Twitter was reportedly losing 4 million dollars per DAY. Where was all this money even going? You can't blame a new owner for cutting staff and getting rid of openly toxic malcontents. We've all worked with those types and you need to get them out of the building.

They were profitable in 2018/2019 if I recall correctly and then overhired in 2020/2021 (a lot of companies did this, actually). Twitter makes like 90% of its rev through advertising, and ad money fell off a cliff this year.

Layoffs were definitely going to come regardless, but this is just about the worst way to handle it since it's pretty clear not a lot of evaluation has gone into how to retain critical teams/employees.

Since you seem to be asking genuine questions here and I've seen this video circulate a lot:

A lot of tech offices have these sorts of amenities, but for the most part (in my experience) you don't see employees making use of them for extended periods of time all that frequently (note the lack of people everywhere she goes). The video is clearly an attempt at bragging about where she works, so she basically hits them all up in one day.

Another thing is that most jobs at tech companies don't necessarily care about hours worked but they do care about targets. If you mess around all, you will likely have to make up your work after hours.

In terms of losing employees and still running, think of it like a boat. Even if all the crew hops off, the boat will continue to sail...for a little while, at least.

Once. Got while running in a half marathon in Portland a month ago, thereby ensuring I cancelled out any possible health benefits when it came to my lungs.

There's actually too many people signing up for Mastodon right now, so it's causing issues with their servers.

It took forever to get my signup confirmation email, and then I promptly went and forgot which password I used for it so now I'm waiting for that email.

The only reason I have seen ANY of them nowadays is because someone else puts them on when we're in the same room (only seen the last season of Dexter all by itself because of this!)

This is actually the best way to experience the last season of Dexter, honestly, provided you were doing something else at the time

If Twitter actually loses advertisers during Q4, that could actually be pretty bad for them

I've never been in a Red Robin's because for some reason I always thought they were in the same vein as Applebee's

So seeing them described as "gourmet burgers" threw me for a loop...but I guess that's their tag line?

Anyway I have no horse in this race since I haven't been to Five Guys in over five years and our local burger chain is really good

Because there's a fair bit of question of "what were the cops doing making a random welfare check at 2:30 AM?" and "why did they say welfare check if paul called the cops?"

If the dude broke in by smashing a window or something it probably triggered an automatic call to 911 via whatever security system they have. Doesn't seem unlikely that would happen.

There are not many games I would even listen to an argument about it being perfect. Almost all of my favorite games ever have multiple flaws even I can see and recognize are flaws.

Undertale is one of two games (other being Outer Wilds) that I consider at least close to flawless. It knows exactly what it's setting out to do and does it to the highest degree.

And it was 98% done by one god damn person. Absolutely insane to think about.

I would probably put Portal 1 in the "perfect" category. It's not one of my favorite games ever (probably up there though), but it does what it does so well

The "gotcha" moment with Flowey if you reload the game after killing Toriel is one of the most memorable parts. The game definitely sets you up for it, but it caught me totally off-guard when he called me out for reloading.

Probably gave Kane & Lynch 2 a bad review

Yep, agreed. We paid off our debts and have gotten to enjoy years of not having to stress about them.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest if people get their debts forgiven, and I'm glad it's happening. If anything, I want to see more of it.

I went through it with my brother. Massive full game spoilers

There were a few parts at the end where we were straight-up guessing, and one of the big ones was that it wasn't clear to me that Edmund de-aged himself and became Lazurus. The final scenario is like "come to where we first met" and we were like, he met Lazurus somewhere between scenarios, wtf is this shit. Then we randomly put Peter in as the killer for Lazurus and that was a huge wtf moment because, what possible connection does Lazurus have with Peter?!? Then the epilogue was like "Edmund became Lazurus" and suddenly everything made sense. I really wonder which clue we missed that was supposed to make that clear!

I feel like there are a few clues (also major spoilers here):
1. Just the name "Lazarus" has some implications
2. You see the experiment with the apples that Edmund carries out and his desire to get a corpse for testing
3. Edmund is seemingly safe from the blast that kills the other two dudes, but Walter Keane reports that he died in the explosion. This was the clue that tipped me off since I couldn't reconcile what we saw happen vs what was reported.

There's also additional stuff like the overall motivation of Edmund (eg knowing that he was politically motivated, knowing that he tried to put love potion in Mary's drink during the dinner) that help piece it together
