That is the dumbest line of thinking lol. We're not even asking them to officiate or participate. We just want the same benefits they have. Most of which they abuse.

I watched a show that had some guys discussing gay marriage and one of them said that he opposed gay marriage because he felt that it affected his marriage. I can't remember his exact wording but he might as well have said that he felt gay marriage being legal would devalue his straight marriage.

I once was a religious watcher up until about 2010-11. The I just slowly stopped over the following years. I went from recording it and watching when I got off work, to watching it a few days later, then a week later, then just deleting the recording.

I've kept up with WWE through YouTube clips and watched a few premium events but don't watch the shows. AEW doesn't interest me because I looked into guys like Omega and the Bucks and just can't stand them, they seem like asshats.

My main interest recently was podcasts talking about what was happening behind the scenes back in the day, but that's kind of waning too.

Edit, checked and it's still there but it's for local pickup in my area. So my mistake.

Logistics can be very weird.

I used to work in a warehouse. I was in shipping. At one point we were getting most of our power steering hoses from a factory in Mexico. I had orders where I packed the hoses for retail and shipped them back to Mexico. So they were made in Mexico, shipped to Illinois in the US, packed for retail, and sent back to Mexico.

Most of them never card for the constitution anyway. Much like patriotism. It's a costume they put on and take off as needed. They only pump up the constitution to use as a weapon for their need. Most of them would use it as toilet paper the second it doesn't serve their purpose.

Yes and No. We get 32 hours of what's considered "ETE" time per quarter, unpaid if you have no PTO. Usable anytime aside from business critical days.

There is a hitch. A few years ago they changed the policy to also mandatory use the time from your PTO whereas before you could elect to take it as non paid if you wanted.

I remember when I started the policy was ridiculous. You could call out for up to 8 hours per week, unpaid, but with no occurrence. Here's where it got stupid. If you went over, it didn't matter how much you went over. As long as you didn't have any call outs or attendance issues the following week there was no occurrence or warning. So there were people who would just call out for days and then work the following week with no occurrence.

Oddly enough, I was watching it yesterday. It's incredibly dated. There are still some good episodes, but it often feels like a trek to make it through more than a couple in a single setting.

I appreciate it for what it was able to accomplish though.

I loved it back when it was running and shortly after it went off air. I've been thinking about watching some again but I have fears that I may not like it as much now for one reason or the other.

I'm afraid, mainly because if Herschel "Werewolf" Walker wins a senate seat not only will he be right there with these sacks of shit but it legit will prove that the Republican base cares not for qualifications, cares not for actually wanting a government to function and try to resolve everyday issues, they want a revenge tour, they want unashamed cruelty, corruption and treats of violence towards anyone they're told to blame for the bad things in their lives and this country. How can a democracy survive in a country where half of it wants to burn it all down and not even start anew, just dance in the flames and hurl stones at whoever tries to put those flames out?

Whether Walker wins or not we already know this to be true. A significant portion of the GOP base only looks for the magic (R) and nothing else. It's the only thing that matters to them when voting. Trump, DeSantis, Roy Moore, Walker, Boebert, MTG, Ron Johnson, Jim Jordan. There's very little that will turn off most of the base. They've been conditioned so well that they don't even have to hold their noses anymore. They're completely nose deaf because they either don't care or don't believe any of the negatives about their candidates.
